CountryHome – Germany’s Premier Country Music Magazine – and Sony Music present Gretchen Wilson
CountryHome, Germany’s Premier Country Music Magazine has gained a remarkable reputation during the last years in Germany, Europe and the rest of the world. While earlier there were only the very confirmed Country fans who looked for information in the “ Country Home” now the number of more generally interested readers has grown.

“Country Home” is proud of a readers’ community which goes from America to Europe and up to Asia. Because of the largely spread feedback To Country Home the type of the magazine’s informations has been gradually adapted to the reader’s demand. This process started in the field of Record News by Christian Lamitschka (German-English) and in the field of Interviews ( German, English ,French). This can be found at www.countryhome.de/recordnews/redaktion_lamitschka.htm
  und
www.countryhome.de/interviews/

Also the listing www.iwde.de/Club/eingabe.htm  line-dance, square dance, Fan, Trucker, Western & Country-Clubs has been enlarged and simplified and includes the bilingualism. Reason is the high appreciation of “Country Home” from national and international artists as well as the recommendation to many fan clubs for registering. Many well-known fan-clubs of famous artists found their home in the “Country Home”.

This is not all which “Country Home” offers. Categories can be found like:
- actuality, reports from the national country scene
- Country Short News Int.
- Press information
- Country Shopping
- Manuela’s world
- One of the largest saloon surveys
- Story Behind a Song
- Biographies
- American Cooking
- Billboard Charts
- Band-Listing
- Country Radio’s survey with link to the radio station
- Translations ( songs) and a lot more stuff

It was obvious for Sony to present in Europe together with Country home, www.countryhome.de  one of the most well-known artists of the USA.

Gretchen Wilson was born the 26th of June 1973 when her mother was 16. She grew up in the rural Pocahontas (36 miles east of St. Louis). Unfortunately her father left the family when she was two . She doesn’t remember her father and consequently didn’t miss him. All the same it seems sure that her father influenced her with his Gospel with which he travelled around which makes clear what kind of influence there was.
Gretchen Wilson is a modest person , she says about her life: “ I don’t think I had a really difficult life, it was simply my life as I know it. It formed me to what I am now – with all good and bad sides. From my life story come the songs of "Here For The Party". Even the songs which I didn’t write seem to be my ones. My mother was very young at the time and I still had a young brother. We had to move often because of job facilities for my mother, she worked as waitress and barkeeper. When things turned worse and we hadn’t any money we had to move for my mother to get a job. It wwas a hard time but we loved our family which gave us the energy to continue. I spent much time with my grandparents that lived always at the same place and I liked it a lot. My granny kept us together, she was a true granny. She featured in some of
my nicest child’s stories.”
After Gretchen Wilson’s first number-one-hit last year something changed in her life. The main difference is ofcourse that she is extremely busy now with concerts, interviews, radio and TV. She didn’t get aware all the things she was going to meet in such kind of activity , anyway she feels best on the scene.
There is now more about Gretchen Wilson in a large interview in “Country Home” which was held in Nashville 2004. There will be also a new interview with
Gretchen Wilson by reason of the splendid collaboration between Sony and Country Home.
Sony Music and Country Home – Germany’s Premier Country Music Magazine -
figured out a highlight for their fans an extra surprise. Finally in this occasion it is possible for all fans to ask the questions they always wanted to do. Who didn’t already win one of the attractive meetings can visit them at www.gretchenwilson.com

Gretchen Wilson In Australia For The Party!
In a new world where everyone with a pick up truck, an ex spouse, a pet in doggy heaven and an acoustic guitar is being touted as a “country music artist”, the genuine article stands out like a paradise island in an ocean of mediocrity.
For Gretchen Wilson, the signs of impending stardom came early in the piece. One night about 1:00 a.m., Gretchen and friends found a side door of Nashville’s landmark Ryman Auditorium open. They snuck in and finding a guitar on an empty stage Wilson jumped up and began singing Patsy Cline's 'If You've Got Leaving On Your Mind.' “I felt I had an audience in there. It was totally empty and nothing but wood pews. It was like I was singing to a room full of ghosts.” It turns out that she did, in fact, have an audience – the venue security, who were so taken by her emotive performance that they waited until she was finished before ejecting Gretchen and friends from the venue!

As Gretchen Wilson prepares for The Grammy Awards where she has been nominated for an impressive 4 awards, the amazing new singer/songwriter’s debut album Here For The Party has been certified triple platinum for sales in excess of three million units. With a prestigious American Music Awards gong for Breakthrough Artist of the year; The 2004 Horizon Award at the US Country Music Association Awards and so many more accolades to come, her Nashville based label are not yet finished making those platinum plaques!
