Bella feature three incredible female vocalists.
Karen O’Shea, Lyn Bowtell and Kate Ballantyne.
With each girl having her own individual career and a number of vocal and songwriting awards, Bella formed pretty much by accident and with enthusiastic encouragement from fans. They released their first single
“Tumbling Down” around September 2003.

In the short period the girls had been together as Bella and on the strength of Tumbling Down the girls took out
"Vocal Group of the Year" at the prestigious "Golden Guitar Awards 2004" soon afterwards the video of same reached No1 on Austar's CMC (Music Video Channel)

Around the same time they were approached by major record label
BMG Australia and are currently signed to them.

As a result Bella are now back with a vengeance with the release of a second single
"About A Girl" written by and featuring the brilliant voice of Lyn Bowtell.

Bella's first single from the album is now complete and due for release 16th August.
The song......... About A Girl written by Lyn. This song has been a particularly favourite with our fans and we are very excited to have as the first single. Also a special little B side tune which we'll keep a secret at this stage.
The album still due for release 20th September and is sounding fantastic. Almost finished. Just a few vocals and some overdubs to do and the master of sound Mr Rod McCormack will work some more of his musical magic.
Don't forget our Cessnock Supporters show 31st July where we introduce our new guitarist Andrew Kep.   Andrew will also be acting as support for Bella.   As you know our old guitarist Matt Hanley has joined Wayne Law in Europe for the next few months promoting Australian Country music.
Look forward to seeing you soon
Love

Three of a kind... simply "beautiful"

BELLA, the new harmony trio of Karen O'Shea, Lyn Bowtell and Kate Ballantyne, will perform their brand new debut single Tumbling Down on the National 9 Network TV show "Mornings With Kerri-Anne" this coming Monday, November 3.

It¹s a rare thing to find a singer with the voice of an angel, but on Bella¹s debut CD single, the rarity is three times more remarkable.

It was their love of music that brought Karen, Lyn and Kate together and it¹s music that has cemented the relationship that led to the formation of Anam Cara  (Celtic for soul mate), which has now become Bella.

Karen and Lyn are both graduates of the first CMAA Australian College of Country Music course, and all three have very strong connections with Australia¹s most prestigious talent search the Toyota Star Maker Quest.

Lyn won Star Maker in 1997, Kate in 1998 and in 1999 Karen was a grand finalist, bringing them to the forefront of Australian country music.

Individually each vocalist shines, but their combined voice brings many an audience to its feet in sheer delight and appreciation.

All singers with their own solo careers, the three girls decided earlier this year to try singing together, just for fun, and the result was an amazingly beautiful harmony sound described as "spine-tingling" and "nothing short of dazzling".

And the wonderful three-part harmonies are a feature of the exceptional recording debut which has the musical accompaniment of Australia¹s ŒA team¹ Mitch Farmer (drums), Jeff McCormack (bass), Rod McCormack (guitars and mandolin) and Mick Albeck (fiddle).

The Jerry Salley-penned Tumbling Down is a perfect canvas for Bella's truly amazing sound and is sure to turn more than a few heads as it makes its way across Australia¹s airwaves in coming months.

Also on the CD, I Can Fly, a song co-written by Karen and Lyn (simply beautiful to listen to) and the lovely old standard Way Beyond The Blue, which has been given the Bella treatment with a delightful arrangement.

The Bella CD is distributed by One Stop Entertainment to record stores or is available postage paid by calling 1800 649 866.

Who are BELLA?

Bella is the musical collaboration and songwriting talents of three of Australia’s top female singers Karen O'Shea, Lyn Bowtell and Kate Ballantyne

These stunning singers with awesome voices have already proven themselves as individual performers. All three have separate successful music careers and have recorded solo albums, won major awards and released chart topping singles.

The girls originally from different parts of Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales first met at Tamworth’s Country Music Festival and have remained friends ever since. Each festival they would meet up, turn up at each others gigs and hop up and sing harmonies. Some time later Karen and Lyn made the move to New South Wales and settled on the Central Coast not far from Kate. Each time the girls got together they would just sing, it didn’t matter where it was they would just start singing.

People that heard this were riveted by the awesome power, tightness and complexity of their natural harmonies but most of all by the vibe they gave out while they were doing it....They LOVE it! They absolutely love what they are doing and this is what really comes across on stage when you see the girls live.

The presence of Karen, Lyn and Kate on stage is awesome! Together with their unique voices and powerful harmonies they create something spectacular indeed.

Print out and have the memories
