Howdy,
 There's a couple of things I forgot to add to the letter. On Friday 3rd of August we are holding a Jamm 4 Genes jam session 7.30 - 8pm onwards. All are welcome!
We'll have a supper and raffles. We might have a couple of give always as well?? Entry is a gold coin donation, all money going to Jeans 4 Genes day.
Everyone's welcome, come and have a jam with the house band, or bring the whole band, or just come along to listen and have a dance!! We have members of Craig and the Shack Shakers, When Size Duzz Matter, Jason Lee Band, Tall Timbre, The Murray Hillbillies and The Cartwrights.
While were talking about special events. On Sunday 2nd of September The Prickles will be celebrating 18 years together as a band!! That's a long time in Band years!!! So make sure you come along to cheer them on!!!!

Firstly let me welcome you all to the first "Cooks River Country News"!! Time permitting I'll try to put out a letter every couple of weeks to keep people up to speed on what's happening with the music at the club!!! If anyone wants to contribute to the news letter, then send it in and we'll have a look at it.
First cab off the rank. I would like to thank everyone who came to "The Shack Shakers" CD launch last Sunday!!! It was a great day! The boys and I really appreciated all the support and playing to such a big crowd was inspiring to us!! It was great to see the dance floor so packed!!
I would like give a bid thank you to Amber and Jessica for running the stall at the club on Sunday!! Well done girls!! The money goes to top up the band money that plays on the day. This is added to the meat raffle money. It was the girls and Lynette's idea and we appreciate it!! If you want to donate things to the stall please feel free!! I'm going to bring down some shirts that no longer fit!!

Sunday 29th Sept, will see the long awaited return of The Cartwrights!! The boys are always entertaining and play some great old country and rockabilly!!
