TEXAS ROSE Crashes Into Tamworth
That dynamic bomb shell, Texas Rose will perform four special gigs at The Longyard Goonoo Goonoo Room for the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2005. Last year venues were packed before performances and many [including the Topp Twins] say Texas was "the most entertaining and dynamic singer they had seen during Tamworth Festivals". "She may not be the prettiest, most polished chick in town but wow will she rock and caress you with her fabulous voice and unique on stage presence". The great group do it all from country rock, ballads, Beatles, Janis Joplin and much more including some classic originals.
Texas is a heavyweight on stage and serves it up to partner "Snow" on bass with some great comedy slapstick humour that the crowds love. She had a major health hiccup last year but is back, bigger and bolder than ever [if thats possible] !!!
Last year Texas packed the Goonoo Goonoo Room at The Longyard with 1300 rages. "The biggest, most interactive crowd the pub has ever seen " -- so say the staff.

After a pretty scary start, Louie is much better

AFTER lots of pretty scary moments, Texas Rose is finally on the mend.
I spoke to Snow Royle, Louie's husband, on Monday (March 29) and he said she had come through surgery and had all of her tubes and drains removed.
"She's sitting up now, eating, and things are looking pretty good," Snow said.
"She's even got the staff singing to her. You should see the two big windows where she is. They're just covered with faxes, cards and messages from people - it's great."
He said she would be discharged out of the neurological intensive care ward on Thursday (no fooling!) and would go into acute care for another week or so, then they could go home.
"The last thing she remembered was painting the bathroom and the next thing she woke up in Royal North Shore Hospital after brain surgery," Snow said.
"She gets a bit confused at times because she doesn't know a lot of stuff that went on in between those two events.
"Louie had an aneurism on the brain, and when the surgeons opened her up, they discovered lots of scar tissue on other little arteries in the brain leading them to believe she wasn't epileptic as it was at first suspected.
"It may been a series of small aneurisms causing the problem."

Texas Rose was rushed to hospital
SENSATIONAL Narrandera-based country entertainer Texas Rose was rushed to hospital on Wednesday night and is now in intensive care at Royal North Shore, Sydney.
She was admitted to Wagga Wagga Hospital on Wednesday evening, then flown to Sydney in a critical condition.
As there is nowhere in the ICU to accommodate flowers, a hospital spokesman has suggested cards, photographs, faxes or letters would be much more appropriate.
The spokesman went on to say Louie was in the hands of one of the finest neurosurgeons in Australia and the very best team of nurses and support staff possible.
