DENI UTE MUSTER - SEPTEMBER 2007
This is going to be a huge weekend for the band and we'd love to see you all there. The Muster is a fantastic event, lots to see and do, and we speak from experience when we say it's an absolute blast!

We are all looking forward to hittin the big stage on the Saturday night....... now if we can just talk Gav into wearing the 'bluey' on stage (won't take much I reckon!). Check the deni web site for more details!

ERAMANGA RODEO - QLD

Now I know I've complained about dust before, like at the Deni Ute Muster etc, but I promise after what I witnessed this weekend I will never complain again. Words can't do it justice. What an experience - driving to the middle of nowhere - Eramanga QLD to play at their local rodeo. We piled onto the Steve Forde bus with the Shea Fisher band on Good Friday and had a fantastic time on the road, running over kangaroos and playing for the local crowd up there. Great way to see parts of this country you would normally never see. Lots of stories to tell............. Read all about it in the BLOG section!!

TAMWORTH COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL - 2007
We had an absolute blast playing to the Tamworth crowds, and were a real drawcard around the festival,

getting bums on seats or shoes on the dancefloor. We played all over town, from the Regent theatre, Albert Hotel, Longyard Hotel, Tamworth Rodeo and even a show at Gunnedah on the way home!

Don't take my word for it, check the pics in our BLOG section.......

Howdy all,
I have finally found some time to sit down and tell you all what's been going on and maybe shed some light on what's comming up too!

The last month has seen us visit all parts of this great country from central Vic, Deniliquin NSW and even far south-west QLD. Check below for some stories and a few pics from our travels.

We have just finished filming a new video clip for 'Waiting' from our 'Don't look back' album. The clip is currently being edited and will hopefully be showing up on CMC sometime in the next month or two. Can't wait (no pun intended)....

The next month will also see us hit the studio to record our follow up album - and yeah we can't bloody wait to get that happening. We have a stack of new material that we've been keeping under wraps for some time now that we are dying to put down for all to hear. Check the web site over the next few months for updates on the recording.

Check our newly revamped Myspace site - complete with video clips of 'This Land' and 'Don't Look Back'. Our Myspace site has been disappearing lately for no reason - so hopefully it stays put for while!

Some big news just rolling in - The Distance will be playing the main stage at this years Deniliquin Ute Muster to close the Saturday night show after Lee Kernaghan. Should be a blast (get your early bird tickets NOW!!).
Catch you all soon!

Welcome back The Distance!
Out of the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria comes The Distance, a contemporary country rock band with a distinctly Australian feel.
After forming in mid 2004 they have been performing live around Melbourne, Victoria and New South Wales where they have formed a great following.

In The Distance music you will hear influences from the Eagles, Jackson Browne, to early Bob Segar everything from edgy rocker to a sweet country song. Their music has something for everyone with great melodys, classic harmonies and some fine music played by a great band.
These guys rock!

We have just returned from a massive 10 show stint at the Tamworth Country Music festival - including 2 massive shows at the Tamworth Rodeo on the Steve Forde stage! DON'T LOOK BACK TOUR 2006
Howdy!
After over 4000km's travelled, 100 meat pies, 3 changes of underwear and the occasional Wild Turkey, we rolled our way back to Melbourne after 8 shows on the road. We played our way right through Vic, NSW and ended our tour with 2 huge shows at the Mud Bulls and Music festival in QLD.
For those of you who missed the tour or didn't know where we went here is a quick run down........

The band couldn't have been happier with the reaction and support we received from all the crowds at our shows, especially as this was our first tour! So to everyone who came along and supported us, bought Cd's and sang along - we really appreciated it and hope to see you all again real soon! Also a BIG thanks to Rob Dabbs and everyone at Wild Turkey Bourbon for sponsoring the band on the trip!

As the band left for their first shows we heard that our new video clip for 'this land' is now being regularly aired on CMC - so while I'm here I might as well remind everyone to jump on the CMC site and vote till your mouse finger falls off!! www.countrymusicchannel.com.au
While in Tamworth Gav played a live to air version of 'This Land' on Gary Coxheads afternoon country show - a big thanks to Garry and everyone at 2TM in Tamworth for your support. Can't wait to get back there this coming January - we are booked for a few pub shows around town, also 2 shows at the Tamworth Rodeo on the 24th and 25th and the band will appear at the Regent theatre as part of the Victorian showcase. Looks like a big January coming up! Hope to see you all up there.

After Tamworth we stopped over in Armidale for a show at the Armidale Club and then it was onto Kilcoy for what was to be the highlight of the tour - 2 shows at the Mud Bulls and Music festival! The rain was pouring down, the music was pumpin and there was no certainly no shortage of MUD! But the rain didn't dampen the spirits of anyone, especially the band. We had a ball playing on the big stage and hope like hell we get to play up there again - it was just a fantastic vibe. A great way to top of the tour, kept us smiling all the way back home.

We'd love to hear from ya!
