From Bob Howe
MICHAEL BRYERS has been described as one of the finest
emerging singer
songwriter talents in Australia today and his stunning critically
acclaimed
debut album "somewhere in between" proves that such accolades are
thoroughly
deserved.
Growing up with the sounds of Slim Dusty, Johnny Cash and Roy
Orbison around
the house, his musical direction seemed to be mapped out from the
start.
But it was his later years and the discovery of artists like John
Prine,
Paul Kelly, Lyle Lovett and Kevin Bennett, which Michael credits
as having
an enormous influence on his style today.
Michael Bryers has performed at festivals Australia wide and
opened shows
for acts like US Country Superstar Jo Dee Messina, Troy Cassar
Daley, Beccy
Cole and Adam Brand.
His debut release "SOMEWHERE IN BETWEEN" has cemented Michael's
reputation
as one of the finest emerging singer songwriter talents in
Australia today.
