Graeme Connors

One Stop Country is pleased to announce the release of a very special recording:
“The Last Supperteers”
What happens when Graeme Connors meets the Fiddlers Feast.
Multi Golden Guitar winner, Graeme Connors has teamed up with Australia’s premier fiddle band, Fiddler’s Feast for this exciting new album, ‘The Last Supperteers’.
Launched at the Theatre during a wet and muddy Gympie Muster in August, the new album proved to be a huge hit with those determined to brave the inclement weather.

The album features 13 brand new songs, written by Graeme (one of Australia’s finest singer / songwriters) or co-written by Graeme with other great Australian artists, including Troy Cassar-Daley, Melinda Schneider, Aleyce Simmonds, Allen Caswell and Mark McDuff.

The first track to be released from the new album, ‘Guess Who’s Got Kids’ can be heard on radio throughout Australia now.

Graeme Connors and Fiddlers Feast - ‘The Last Supperteers’.

Proudly distributed by One Stop Country.
And Graeme and The Fiddler’s Feast had this to say about their exclusive relationship with One Stop Country – “One Stop Country are true specialists in the field of CD distribution – at a time when the music industry is undergoing massive changes in dissemination, it’s comforting to be in the hands of a team of dedicated professionals who still recognize the CD as the preferred means of listening to high quality recordings for all good music lovers.”

THE LAST SUPPERTEERS CD LAUNCH
A massive circus tent at this years muddy Gympie Muster was the site chosen to launch the latest project from Graeme Connors and the Fiddlers Feast. THE LAST SUPPERTEERS is the result of this intriguing collaboration.

Cyclonic winds and rains didn’t dampen the enthusiasm of the full house that had come to see what Graeme and the band were up to. Fans loved the premier performance of the 13 new songs from the album. The rollicking zydeco sounding songs had the crowd clapping along and the lush ballads had the crowd enjoying the new songs from one of Australia’s finest singer/songwriters. Media heavyweights in the crowd are tipping possible Golden Guitars for this exciting new release. One of the highlights was Bondwood Boat co-written by Graeme and Aleyce Simmonds.

Following the premier performance the long line at the merchandising desk indicates that healthy sales for the cd are guaranteed.

Graeme Connors & Anne Kirkpatrick
On Tour in September
It’s All Good for Graeme Connors and The Showman’s Daughter, Anne Kirkpatrick in their new show Two Of Us which unites long time friends on their first tour together for performances at Mount Evelyn, Sale and Hallam in September.

Iconic storytellers, Graeme and Anne have contributed to the contemporary Australian landscape for decades and audiences are in for a real treat as this musical partnership shares the songs and stories of their interconnected history in an informal atmosphere.

Anne Kirkpatrick was born into the industry and destined for a life on the road as the daughter of the late Slim Dusty and Joy McKean. She first appeared on stage at the age of 10 in her parents travelling show and found her unique heritage a mixed blessing. Riding the corrugations of audience expectation and her passion for music outside of the bush ballad genre, it was with great courage that she found her niche and musical independence.

Upon release of her 8th album Out of the Blue in 1991, Anne was finally accepted in her own right and mainstream and country accolades applauded her as a true revolutionary. An ARIA and 2 of Anne’s 3 Golden Guitars were awarded for this album. This year’s The Showman’s Daughter has also reaped high praise for its authentic roots style and is Anne’s first solo studio album since 1997.

Graeme Connors is a gifted songwriter who captures people, place, a mood and our hearts through his evocative lyrics and distinctive voice.

Graeme’s phenomenal achievements include Gold and Platinum albums, 12 Golden Guitars, MO, APRA, ARIA, PPCA Awards, international accolades and induction into the Tamworth Hall of Fame.

His 13th album It’s All Good, is a superb tweaking of original and timeless hits, new compositions and classic covers just released in celebration of a successful solo career.

Graeme has written many hits for Slim Dusty and Anne Kirkpatrick. He has also contributed to the success of other artists through commissions and collaborations.

Two of Us is your invitation to revisit the classics, hear the latest material and catch up on the stories which have entwined the extensive careers of 2 of our most respected and awarded artists.

Don’t miss your chance for a warm and entertaining night with friends.

Chris Haig and Graeme Connors

GRAEME  has a new album set for release on June 7 titled The Moment.
Graeme has spent the past month in Nashville recording the tracks for what is billed his "most personal and intimate album ever".
To be released on ABC Music's new adult contemporary label First Edition, The Moment will reveal a gentler, more acoustic style of music reminiscent of his earlier albums, particularly the multi-award winning Homeland according to the ABC.
"The songs on The Moment, however, have moved on from the scenic images and characters that were so evident on Graeme's early albums. Like his last album, This is Life, they are more introspective, exploring the human condition, interactions between people, and the way we deal with life. Graeme describes them more as 'internal landscapes'.
"Always one of Australia's most perceptive and talented writers, Graeme has captured some of the universal experiences on tracks like Life Ain't Perfect, You Take The Wheel and I'm In The Middle Of This.
"The album features a song co-written with newcomer Michael Carr, Go On a track with a compelling gospel feel and also includes a duet with Felicity Urquhart, I Dream Of Highways."
Graeme, who has taken a long break from live touring, will be back on the road again in early June to perform songs from the The Moment. The first leg of the tour will take him through his home state of Queensland, starting in Bundaberg, and ending at Twin Towns on the Gold Coast.
