- The Baileys plus
another Bailey at Diggers on Sunday of Hats Off
Baileys squared! Tim Bailey with The Baileys @ Wests’ Diggers.
- It was a case of Baileys all round on
Sunday at Wests’ Diggers Club in Tamworth when hyperactive Channel
10 weatherman Tim Bailey hosted an afternoon of entertainment with
The Baileys – Tamworth’s own MO-award winning band.
Tim had been in town for the weekend, and on Saturday had hosted a
punters’ day, with proceeds being directed to the Salvation Army.
He backed up well the following day to rev up the crowds for the
afternoon ahead. I think there were Baileys drink promotions, as
well, making it a triple Baileys afternoon!
There was a large crowd at Diggers from the start of the gig, but
when the sun went down it got a little chilly in the outdoor area,
with many folk moving inside to get a bit of warmth.
Their final set was a stand-out – with guests invited onto the
stage including Katrina Burgoyne – always a delight to listen to;
13-year-old Tamworth guitarist Emma Roberts, who took out the
Family Hotel Performance of the Night at the CCMA Junior Winter
Talent Quest, the previous night; and 14-year-old Rowan Scott, who
was one of 22 Tamworth Camerata graduates.
It was a fitting end to a great weekend of country music in
Tamworth.
