- Hi Folks,
It’s been a little while since I put pen to paper.
The last month has been awesome for me & I would like to share
some good news with you all. Firstly, I have just got back from
Tamworth after a huge weekend there for Pub Fest. Boy was it hot
in the Central Hotel, where the Jason-Lee Band rocked to a full
house. Check the festival gig guide in January to see where I will
be performing.
I went to Cockle Creek this weekend Oct 14th, 15th & 16th to the
Steel City Country Music Festival where I caught up with a few old
friends & entered the NSW Champion of Champions.
The prize for the NSW Champion of Champions is a Scholarship to
the CMAA - Australian College of Country Music in Tamworth 2006.
The weekend was a blast. Sunday afternoon was the “Gina Jefferys &
Friends Leukemia Fund-Raising Concert”. Gina & Rod are in
Brisbane, so the show starred Adam Harvey & Beccy Cole. Half way
through the show, the winner of the NSW Champion of Champions was
announced. When they called out my name, I couldn’t believe it! I
had won the Scholarship to the College! What a blast!
Runner up was the beautiful voice of Kirsty Akers, and second
runner up was the great talents of Australian Idol Top 30,
Victoria McGee.
College graduates include artists such as Samantha McClymont,
Travis Collins, Brendan Walmsley, Beccy Cole and many more. I
believe the College will give me more experience in all areas of
my career and can’t wait to share it with you all.
Apart from all the above, I am also starting to put the wheels in
motion for an album, hopefully by mid 2006.
Some performance dates are at the top of this page if you would like to come along
and say hi, I’ll be glad to have a chat.
Until next time
Tighten the reins &
Lift the game
