SUCCESS IS SWEET
Summer rain brings its own rewards for Dale Juner.
Stretching his boundaries on his latest single SWEET SUMMER RAIN has again
earned Dale a Top 20 after 4 weeks on the Top 30 Country Tracks chart, a great
country song with a delicious bluegrass flavour . Taken from Dales new album
Livin While I Learn,
...the album is somewhat of a revelation. He is a man with an encyclopaedic
knowledge of the traditions of country music, ...enormous respect for the
music and its pioneers, .. draws on reflections, experiences and hard truths
-. " Mike Smith, CapNews
"Dale Juner is one of those acts. ... has honed his craft as a
singer/songwriter.... songs focus on his life experiences..." Tim Holland, The
Music Network
CapNews April 2006 FEATURE ALBUM "
It's the broader scope of the music that drew me in...real depth in the
collection. His songwriting shines through the album... This is certainly a
landmark album for the enigmatic Juner" Rick Jenner, Country Music CapNews
Without sacrificing his country heritage, Dale has injected plenty of energy
into his latest offering .... For me the stand out is the fine Sweet Summer
Rain .... His honesty in his songs... ...you know where you stand with Dale"
Bob Anthony Jnr, Tweed Heads Daily

As he works on a cattle
stud under the sky at Gundaroo, country music singer and farm manager Dale
Juner often thinks of his nearly 4 year old grand-daughter Kate. "She talks,
she laughs, she's cheeky, she loves the Wiggles, she loves the pool," Mr Juner
said.
Little Kate was born
with Spina Bifida and while she is now in a wheelchair, her prognosis was much
more dire at birth.
Kate has undergone
dozens of operations at a hospital in Melbourne, more than 100km from the home
of her parents, Sean & Belinda in country Victoria.
Mr Juner believes Kate's
early days were made much easier because her parents had the help and support
of a Ronald McDonald House, which allowed them to stay close while their
daughter was being treated. Mr Juner is now repaying the favour by being among
hundreds of celebrities who volunteered behind the checkout and drive-through
at McDonald's stores around Australia on McHappy Day. McHappy Day raised over
$900,000 for the Charity.

Dale Juner's new single "1984" is already proving
a popular choice with radio. Presenters are picking up on Juner's music, and
fans are appreciating his contemporary sound that is rooted firmly in the
traditional country mould. Following the resounding chart success of
his previous radio hit "Bundy Haze", this latest single
"1984", reflects on that great feeling you get when you're driving
along and an old song comes over the radio that reminds you of a different time
and place.
1984 is unmistakably country!
'Bundy Haze' got the thumbs up all round!
"Juner is as close to America's Steve Earle as
Australian country is likely to get."
"'Bundy Haze" this is an album crawling with
good material".
Carlton & United Media Release January 2001.
"Juner is now one of country's most exciting talents
and hasn't escaped comparisons with American country cult heroes such as Steve
Earle, Waylon Jennings and Ramblin' Jack Elliot - all great singer
songwriters."
Jim Baynes AAP, The Age January 2001.
"Juner's life reads like a movie script. Not a
feel-good flick but an all-in, guns out, blazing Quentin Tarantino-style
blockbuster, no regular rockabilly songster, he's anything but average, Juner
is a one-off. His latest album 'Bundy Haze' stands as proof
of his talent with his original lyrics a testimony to a hard-lived life.
Sally White, The Land February 2001.
This years Carlton & United COUNTRY
MUSIC FESTIVAL Media Kit included profiles on selected artists
performing at the celebration of the 29th Carlton
Country Music Festival at Tamworth during 2001. Of the 750 plus artists
performing at over 100 different venues, 15 were included in this years kit.
One of those artists was Dale Juner and his story had the media comparing him and
his music to country music's super stars and his new album 'Bundy Haze' got
the thumbs up all round! |
