Heartland, Jo Dee Messina, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Janie Fricke,
Eric Church,Trace Adkins, Lonestar, Jason Aldean, Josh Turner, Jack Ingram,
Billy Currington and Billy Yates together on iWebRadio.com
It is time for the next big Country Music Day on www.iWebRadio.com . L.A.
(Lutz Adam) and Christian Lamitschka celebrate the 50th episode of LA's
Country Corner on iWebRadio.com. Since the time L.A. and Christian
Lamitschka began working together, they would differentiate the show from
other country music shows on the radio.
So L.A. came up with the idea to play a mix between Current Country Hits and
Country Music hits from the past. Also a part of the show is dedicated to
giving independent artists a chance at airplay. Christian who has worked now
for a long time with some of the biggest country music magazines like
CountryHome.de Magazine, came up with an idea to play some of the interviews
he's done with stars like Gretchen Wilson, Moe Bandy, Chris Young, etc ...
News about what is going on in country music and News about his favorite
team, The Nashville Titans. Special reports on upcoming events and other
information as well. Together they've created a well-rounded program that
really appeals to the Country Music fan!
So L.A. and Christian celebrate together with Heartland, Jo Dee Messina,
Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Janie Fricke, Eric Church, Trace Adkins, Lonestar,
Jason Aldean, Josh Turner, Jack Ingram, Billy Currington and Billy Yates
March 24th, 2007, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Central Time (North America), the next
big Country Music Day on www.iWebRadio.com . All these big names will talk
together with Christian about what is going on with them and more.
So mark the day on your calendars! Invite your friends and neighbors! Tell
each country music fan! L.A. and Christian would love to celebrate with you
on www.iWebRadio.com the 50th show of LA's Country Corner!

- Daryl is widely known as a compere at
Queensland events and for his regular program on 101.5fm out of Caboolture.
He spent five years in commercial radio as a breakfast announcer on morning
radio and wore a few hats behind the scenes as program director music
director and commercial copywriter at southern Queensland stations prior to
moving to Brisbane and setting up his own business VoicePRO.
The new segment is based on an artist profile an interview and single grabs
on each track. Each week a new release CD is featured and each track will
get airplay. The stories behind each track told by the artist and/or
songwriter will lead into each song as part of the overall production. The
idea is to combine the music and the stories into a feature presentation and
consequently a total promotion of the release.
Daryl said ‘Everyone seems to love the freshness of the idea and the
response is supportive. I’m hoping we can syndicate the program to make it
available nationally.’
‘Anyone interested in sponsoring the new concept and or the weekly program
should contact me also. ’ he added.
‘The hour long segment is part of my weekly Urban Country program on air
from 8 til midnight every Wednesday night. It should work very well. Artists
can contact me by email or telephone so we can schedule their spot.’
‘I’m also keen to hear from recording artists who are in production and have
release dates later in the year or next year to factor their album into the
2006-2007 program schedule.’
Backstage Pass goes to air at 9.00pm on Wednesday August 23 on Caboolture
Radio 101.5fm. The first show will feature Melinda Schneider and her latest
album Stronger.

- INTRODUCING
HOMEMADE MUSIC Digital Music Transfer
- Homemade Music's
owners George and Rosemary Royter have been developing a way of delivering
singles in high quality MP3 format (CD quality) over the last 12 months.
DMT is a new concept in music delivery to radio presenters and media which
is extremely cost efficient and fast.
The cost to supply music to media and radio presenters has become
overwhelming for many independent artist, but with Homemade Music's DMT this
is about to change.
Homemade Music are now offering independent artists the chance to have their
music heard at a very reasonable price of just - $150 a track.
This includes encoding, delivery and an artist information web page.
The good news for artists is they do not need an EP or album on CD. If you
have recorded a demo track or you record your music at home, then we can

- 24/07/06 - Last week Australia’s national music industry trade
publication, The Music Network announced that TimHollandCountry.com - a new
country music news and entertainment website, had gone live. The site has
been created by the magazine's Content Manager and country writer Tim
Holland.
- The consumer focused, news-based website will feature both local and
international contributors reviewing country based product and the big
events in country music - from Tamworth through to Nashville and beyond.
- It also features The Music Network’s Country Hot 30 National Country
Airplay Chart along with links to CMC’s Top 30 Countdown and R&R’s US
Country Airplay Chart.
- The site’s launch on July 10 featured an exclusive online video
interview with Adam Brand, shot during final rehearsals for his What A Life
tour across Australia, as well as an interview with Big & Rich sidekick Two
Foot Fred - shot during the CMA Festival in Nashville in June.
- In the next couple of weeks more artist interviews will be posted along
with footage from the CMA Global Artist showcase in Nashville last June,
featuring Jake Nickolai and Telstra Road To Tamworth winner Nick Kingswell.
- The site will support both new and established talent and one of it’s
main goals is to cater to the immediate needs and expectations of a new
generation of country music fans.
- “The emergence of the Country Music Channel and artists like Adam Brand,
The McClymonts, Keith Urban, Travis Collins, Steve Forde and The Baileys
(who are attracting large audiences under the age of 30 at their shows) has
seen interest in country music from the youth market increase significantly.
With this in mind, one of the main focuses of the site will be to cater to
the needs of this market. The site will present country music in a manner
this market considers relevant and relatable, and news will be delivered in
the immediate form that kids and young adults now demand,” says site
creator Tim Holland.
- “As the site moves forward and establishes its readership, I’ll be
using the site to work with our strategic partners in country music to
develop new initiatives to assist in the growth of the genre. One of my main
goals with the site is to assist in establishing a greater digital presence
for local country music artists.”
- “Ultimately I envisage the site becoming a useful sales and promotional
tool for local artists, tour presenters and locally based retail campaigns.
I’m working on a number of promotional initiatives to ensure that this
happens sooner rather than later.”
- There will also be opportunities for emerging talent to build their
profile as guest interviewers and presenters.
- For more information on the site itself and advertising and sponsorship
opportunities, contact Tim Holland on (+61 2) 9358 1600 or at

2NUR-FM 103.7 in Newcastle has a major
program shake up on weekends.
In what appears to be a step away from community based programming,
2NUR – FM has removed 4 programs from their Saturday and Sunday schedules.
They include 2 Country music programs, “Classic Country By Request” with
Warren Fuller, on Saturdays and “Country 4 You” with John Slaven, on Sundays.
This totals 4.5 hours of Country music programming removed!
Saturday and Sunday between 12 and 4pm will now be filled with the normal
formatted music that is a feature of weekday programming. This is due to 2 out
of 4 commercial stations in the Newcastle area having sport on the afternoons,
KO-FM and 2HD.
As a compensation, a 2 hour slot would be available once a month on Sunday
afternoons between 4pm and 6pm to compensate for this change. That is, 1
program a month instead of weekly.
Sunday mornings Country still remains, running from 5.30am to 9pm with 6
minutes of news every half hour.
-
John Slaven – however still remains on CHR-FM 96.5 every
Monday evening, with Travelling Country between 8pm and 12 midnight.
4 hours of solid wall to wall Country Music with less talk!
CHR-FM is now the radio home of Country Music in the Newcastle Hunter region.
He will next host Country 4 You, Sunday 7th May 2006, between 4pm and 6pm on
2NUR-FM, then on a date to be advised in June. For further
information, please email John Slaven on
travellingcountry@bigpond.com

- 2005 Country Music Directory out now

- Digital Music Centre Industry
(Lindsay Butler Studios - 336 Goonoo Goonoo Rd Tamworth)
and have a look at Australia's Country Music Daily Newspaper on the
Internet.
http://news.digitalmusiccentre.com.au
- What is the Digital Music Centre?
The Digital Music Centre (DMC) is a repository and distribution point
for downloadable digital Australian country music.
How does music get into the DMC?
Albums are provided to the DMC by partner owners ie. the owners of
the recorded product (master); and the DMC digitally copies the tracks into
high quality mp3 files.
How do consumers buy the music?
A consumer can only get to the DMC via the web site of a partner retailer.
Although the sales are physically made within the DMC, they are then
credited back to the referring partner retailer. The DMC does not make any
sales to consumers on it's own behalf.
Who decides the retail price of the music?
The partner retailer decides at what price tracks will be sold to
consumers. The partner owners will provide a Suggested Selling Price for the
tracks on each album, then the partner retailer may set their selling price
as a percentage above or below the SSP, or at a specific quoted price.
Who decides the wholesale price of the music?
The partner owner decides at what price tracks will be sold to
partner retailers. If a partner retailer is happy with the resultant margin
between the wholesale and retail price of the tracks on an album, then it
may be "stocked" by the partner retailer. If the resultant margin is below
the requirement of the partner retailer, then an album's tracks will not be
"stocked" by the partner retailer.
Who promotes the music to the consumers?
The partner retailers promote the digital music to the consumers. As
sales of DMC distributed music can only be made by partner retailers, then
the more aggressively any partner retailer promotes the music the more they
will sell.
How do consumers pay for their purchases?
Consumers pay for their digital music purchases by credit card via a
secure payment gateway provided by the DMC. All received funds go into a
holding account at the DMC which is cleared at the end of each month by
distributing all funds to the various partners, and to statutory
authorities.
- Capital News crowns 30 years
with CMAA Australian Country Music “Media Achiever of the Year” award
The year 2005 marks the 30th anniversary of Australian country
music's longest running publication, Country Music Capital News, and it
celebrated this month with a CMAA Media Achiever of the Year award from the
industry it services.
- First published by Radio 2TM in quarter fold format in January 1975, the
paper was initially intended to be a part of the promotional backup for the
still very new annual country music festival in Tamworth, Country Music
Capital.
But as time went by, it was evident to 2TM that Capital News had achieved a
life of its own and it was growing as quickly as the country music scene it
served.
By 1981, "Cap News" had developed into a monthly tabloid and was required
reading for the country music industry and fans alike.
In 2002, still keeping up with the times, Capital News re-invented itself
again, this time into the modern glossy magazine format it enjoys today.
No wonder then the industry recognised Capital News at the recent annual
2005 Australian Country Music Achiever Awards in Sydney. Members of the
Country Music Association of Australia voted Capital News to be the "Media
Achiever Of The Year" an award the publication had previously won in 2002.
Mr Barry Harley, General Manager of Rural Press Events that publishes
Capital News, said it was good to know all the hard work and planning that
goes into keeping Capital News attractive to fans and relevant to the
professionals was acknowledged by the industry.
"Over the 30 years it's been published, Cap News has covered each and every
story and issue of any significance to country music, and it will continue
to play a central role in bringing readers all the news and information
about every aspect of the music they love.”
As well as publishing the award-winning Capital News, Rural Press Events
makes other major contributions to the country music scene with their annual
Directory of Australian Country Music, the Telstra Tamworth Festival
Official Guide, the national Toyota Star Maker Quest and many other
activities.

Front page news from The Pub Management !
- LONGTIME Northern Daily Leader journalist Anna Rose
will join The Pub Management team in September.
Anna, who has been the Tamworth-based regional daily newspaper’s fulltime
country music specialist and staff writer since 1998, has had a lengthy
association with the music industry.
Her earliest association with The Leader dates back to 1981, when she would
type copy for her late husband, Jazzer Smith, then Leader entertainment
writer (and former Capital News editor), and deliver it to the newsroom on
Jazzer’s behalf.
Anna assisted Jazzer throughout his writing The Book of Australian Country
Music, published through Berghouse Floyd and Tuckey in 1984. This book is
still widely used as a reference source and authentic time capsule of the
Australian country music scene of the 1980s.
For many years Anna has taken an active interest in Australian country
music, and has enjoyed watching the full spectrum of acts, ranging from up
and coming talent competing in quests, busking and on walk-up stages,
through to the Golden Guitar Awards – and all points in between.
In her role at The Pub Management, Anna will be responsible for marketing
the three Douglas-owned hotels in Tamworth – The Pub, The Family and
SouthGate Inn, as well as assisting Joan Douglas in managing and promoting
her exciting stable of acts – Felicity Urquhart, The Baileys, Aleyce
Simmonds, Aaron Bolton and Katrina Burgoyne.
Anna will continue to produce her weekly country music column in The
Northern Daily Leader, which appears each Saturday, and also can be viewed
online at www.thepub.com.au .
The Pub Management principal Joan Douglas described this as "an exciting new
era for the organisation".
"We see Anna's appointment to our staff as cementing our country music
relations, and building on the strengths that our company produces," Joan
said.
"She is well known in the country music industry, so it will be exciting
news for the industry as a whole. The Pub Management artists are thrilled to
have Anna as part of their career development team."
