If you don't know about Kieran Murphy,
it's time you do.
Kieran is an 18 year old guitar virtuoso from Melbourne, Australia
who has been working
with Tommy since he was about 14. Kieran's original compositions
show a sophistication
way beyond his years, or beyond anyone's years.
Kieran is currently touring in the USA opening for Tommy and has
left the audience
standing and cheering, and then rushing out to buy his CD in the
foyer. PER SE is that new
CD recorded in May 2007, hot off the presses for this tour.
His 15 original compositions on PER SE will leave you breathless.
http://www.certifiedguitarplayer.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=70
to go to the album for sale and then click at the bottom of that
page to be routed to his
website where you can hear sound files of the album.
PER SE is currently exclusively available at
CertifiedGuitarPlayer.com and at Tommy's live
shows through July 13th.
It's a MUST BUY for any fingerstyle guitar enthusiasm. He's not
just "great for his age" he's
great for any age and has a long future ahead of him with this
offering as his latest.
Tommy gives Kieran his HIGHEST endorsement and is so proud of
Kieran and this album.
Regards,
Gina

Get Tommy on network TV in the USA
We would really like to get Tommy on network TV in the USA. We'd
like to request that
everyone send an e-mail to Oprah and Ellen asking them to check
out YouTube for
footage of Tommy and check out the website. Don't forget to
mention the Grammy
nomination~
Maybe if enough of us write, they'll respond:
Oprah:
http://www2.oprah.com/email/reach/email_reach_fromu.jhtml?_DARGS=/email/reach/
email_reach_fromu.jhtml.2--%20http://
(cut and paste link in to browser)
Ellen:
http://ellen.warnerbros.com/show/dearellen/
If everyone on the discussion and announcement groups wrote to
them, they would be
flooded with enough e-mail that they'd have to take a look at him.

Hi Tommy Fans,
YouTube ( http://www.youtube.com
) has become one of the most popular internet sites on
the web. Tommy has about 700 or so clips on there now. The one
with the most plays is
his performance for Korean Television of "Angelina".
The "most played" and "favorite" chart is what most people go to
when they want to view
videos on YouTube. We'd like to get Tommy higher on that chart so
that it will be more
likely that people coming to the site will be exposed to his
music.
Here is the link to "Angelina". Although there are other good
ones, this one has the most
amount of plays to build on.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AhR04kmcSXU
We're requesting that you forward this link to all your friend and
associates and lists
telling them about Tommy and recommending that they view this
clip. Then please
suggest that if they like it, that they rate it highly and forward
the link to their friends.
This creates the "viral" effect of spreading the word.
Thanks for your help spreading the word. Keep your fingers crossed
for the Grammys,
Regards,
Gina

At the CMAA Awards in Australia, Tommy
won a Golden Guitar for Best
Instrumental Performance for Gameshow Rag/Cannonball Rag from his
album THE MYSTERY.
It's his 2nd award in as many years. Last year he took the guitar
for his composition from his
album ENDLESS ROAD, The Tall Fiddler.
With the Grammy Awards just over two weeks away, this is a great
indicator of the possibility
for Tommy's first Grammy win. Let's all keep our fingers crossed!

Gina

Dear Tommy Fans around the
world:
The USA Domestic shipping deadline for Christmas arrival of
gifts by PRIORITY MAIL is
THIS FRIDAY, December 15th. Do not choose MEDIA MAIL as it is much
slower. Of course
EXPRESS MAIL will get you the package within 2 days (depending on
what time you order
it).
International shipping deadline for "HOPEFUL" delivery of
international packages by
Christmas is TODAY. I say "HOPEFUL" because although the shipping
time may be
adequate, customs clearance in each country is different and they
get very backed up at
this time of year.
If you wish to ENSURE prompt delivery internationally, please choose
GLOBAL EXPRESS -
it's expensive, but it gets to you on time.
CPR Entertainment offices and therefore merchandise shipping will be
CLOSED from
December 21 - December 28. THERE WILL BE NO ITEMS SHIPPED DURING
THIS TIME.
We hope you have a great holiday season filled with music, love,
laughter and fun.
Regards,
Gina, Tracy, Linda, and Tommy

American Indian heritage.
Tommy says, "This song was created to convey the awareness I had
of the American Indian
ancestry of the area and the natural beauty of the environment."

If you have never seen
Tommy perform you will be amazed by his
guitar wizardry and entertaining Australian personality. To learn
more about Tommy read his bio

. Shortly before his death in 2001, the great Chet Atkins, Tommy's
mentor, once said "I think he's probably the greatest
finger-picker in
the world today.". Mr. Atkins went on to say "You can't watch
Tommy
perform and not feel happy. I just love him.". We think you will
agree with Mr. Atkins. Ask anyone who has seen Tommy perform or

Tommy in Toronto

Hi all,
I've updated all the tour dates that I know about on the website
at http://
www.tommyemmanuel.com
. For those of you who have anxiety about the blank spaces
between dates I have said what part of the country or world Tommy
would be in even
though we have no confirmed dates yet. I have also mentioned when
he is off so that you
know not to look for any new dates at this time.
I promise that as soon as a date is confirmed, I will put it on
the website so I would ask
you NOT to reply to this e-mail asking if we will be in your
town. Chances are we will be
in your town but if it's not on the site, then I don't know yet.
For those of you who have asked if we don't like a certain city
because we have not been
there, or have not been back there, rest assured we like every
city and everyone it that
city, however, there are more cities out there then there are
dates to perform in them and
more and more new places are added each year that then want us to
return the following
year. We will go wherever we are invited to go that can gather a
crowd for us but there
may be more time between visits.
See you out on the road.
Regards,
Gina

We're aiming to release this DVD in June,
2006 followed by the new album in July, 2006.
- Photos of Tommy's Performances
at Korea, Tokyo and World Expo
- Since many of the artists that Tommy
has toured with in the USA and
rest of the world come from far away with no distribution or sell
their music independently, we have evolved the Tommy Emmanuel Store
into
http://www.certifiedguitarplayer.com
We've just added new albums by Clive Carroll, who toured with Tommy
in
the UK, Australia and the USA, and The Bluehouse, who recently
toured
with Tommy in the midwest. Their products link to their websites
where you can hear samples of their music (actual samples on the
site
will come later).
We will soon be adding more music by other friends of Tommy
including
Simon Bruce, Troy Cassar-Daley, and Stephen Bennett and we hope
you'll
check out these artists if you haven't heard them yet, or didn't get
a
CD when you saw them appear with Tommy.
Hope you enjoy the music.

Gina

- Tommy Emmanuel , heaped praise on Keith
Urban to his audience at a recent
concert he held. Keith had once said about Tommys guitar playing,"
that some people are touched by the hands of God, Tommy is the hands
of God, the way he plays guitar"!
I found it so heart warming to hear that Tommy gave Keith a lot of
praise for his hard work and achievements.

- TOMMY EMMANUEL's CD "Endless Road"
Many of the tracks on Endless Road are Tommy Emmanuel originals,
among them the powerful title track written
during a time of enormous change in Tommy's life.
- TOMMY SIGNS TO FIRST
EDITION
TOMMY EMMANUEL has signed to ABC Music's new contemporary music
label First Edition.
Tommy is widely regarded for his talents having been described by
the late guitar maestro Chet Atkins as "one of the greatest players
on the planet" and "probably the greatest fingerpicker in the world
today".
The first First Edition release for Tommy will be his new album The
Endless Road.
ABC Music Head of Contemporary Music Clive Hodson is clearly very
excited to have Tommy on his roster of top class acts.
"I've wanted to sign Tommy as a solo artist for 20 years - ever
since the first time I worked with him during his time with the '70s
rock band Dragon. I've followed his career ever since, and now our
paths have crossed at the right place and time," he said.
"Signing one of the world's great guitarists is not only a thrill
for the ABC, but we're also honoured that such an internationally
respected artist has chosen to be with a truly Australian company."
The Endless Road will be released by ABC Music/First Edition this
month. Described as "an album of exquisite and melodic acoustic
music, it could not be more appropriately named," Clive said. "Tommy
is in such demand as a performer that he constantly criss-crosses
the world."

Currently working the European and North American markets, Tommy has
been in constant demand since his appearance in the closing ceremony
of the Sydney Olympic Games. He has played many major festivals and
venues in the northern hemisphere.
Through hard work and endless tours, he has earned a success
unequalled by any instrumental artist ever in Australia. Now with
four platinum and three gold albums and many awards, he sets a
standard for others to emulate.
As a songwriter (co-writing with 1960s star Steve Kipner), Tommy's
compositions have been recorded by Olivia Newton-John, Al Jarreau
and Sheena Easton. His career has spanned so far spanned four
decades and continues to forge on into the 21st century with a new
CD titled ONLY, his first solo acoustic album.
A household name in Australia, Tommy was born at Muswellbrook (NSW),
grew up at Parkes and Gunnedah, cutting his musical teeth playing
with the likes of the Geoff Brown Showband and the legendary Buddy
Williams.
Described by Chet Atkins as "one of the greatest players on the
planet" Tommy has played, in concert and on record, with many great
names including Stevie Wonder, Eric Clapton, Michael Bolton, Tina
Arena, Jerry Reed, John Denver, Hank Marvin, James Morrison, John
Farnham and Roberta Flack.
Tommy and his brother
Phil. have celebrated the 45th anniversary of their on-stage
debut.
³Itıs great that our schedules have provided this window to enable
us to perform together again,² Phil said. ³Itıs been a long time.²
³I find it hard to believe it was 45 years ago that we first played
together on stage,² said Tommy. ³It will be great to play together
again.²
