"Red's Hot Rod Party and Riverside Jamboree".

Our first Hot Rod Party and Riverside Jamboree" will be held the weekend of November 6 and 7, 2004 at my Old Truck Stop and Diner in Jugiong on the Old Hume between Canberra, Sydney and Melbourne !

First I would like to thank all the people who have bought tickets early and allowed this event to happen but we still have a limited number of tickets left. So for those thinking of making the trip you may be able to get tickets at the front gate. If you are thinking of attending the event I still urge booking tickets now as tickets cannot be guaranteed on the day. To book send money orders or checks to the value of $27.50 (adult) $15 (under 18 yrs) Under 12 free to Autone Records, Lot 1 Riverside Drive Jugiong 2726 N.S.W Australia. IMPORTANT Please include your name/names and address and details of all attending ie: Adults and children. Tickets will be reserved and waiting for you on arrival. Ticket price includes Entertainment, Car Awards and Studio Tours. Food will be available. Afternoon activities for children will include Pony Rides, Entertainment and a treasure hunt.

This will be an opportunity to enjoy the country community, roots music and custom car culture. For people who want to experience rock n roll, rock 'a' billy, rhythm n blues, bluegrass, country and 50's style swing music in a low down country atmosphere this is an occasion not to be missed! It will also be a celebration of the opening of Red’s 50s Sam Philips style recording studio and there will be tours of all the facilities daily from 10 am till 5 pm on the weekend. Selected items such as microphones, guitars, cars and vintage tube recording equipment will be on display and some will be for sale.

On the entertainment front we have 2 amendments. Firstly The Supertronics are unable to make the party due to a Drummer on extended holiday. I have decided to ask the Blue Moon Boys from Sydney to take the new spot. This band includes legendary pickers Mark Punch and Mark Collins and I know they play the odd Elvis tune in their repertoire. Check out the program for details.

We do recommend camping as it is an ideal location alongside the mighty Murrumbidgee River closeby and there are heaps of amenities provided for the occasion. Other accommodation is available a short cruise away and to make Hotel/Motel accommodation bookings email us for a list. We would love to see you here for some fun enjoying roots music and custom car culture. This will be a value packed weekend for all those attending, make no excuses. All cars attending must register for eligibility for "Rod Party" awards. All cars will be fully Club or Road registered and owners will have comprehensive insurance.

Dancing and Car Competitions will be a part of the weekend.

Roots specialist DJ Jimmy Dee will be spinning discs and a whole lot more!
