ABOUT RUCKUS
RUCKUS is a high energy, kick RRRrrrrsss, award winning 5
piece country southern rock outfit. The band has developed a
strong loyal following over the previous 3 yrs. with their
blistering live performances and their easygoing and approachable
manner off stage. The recent release of the bands 2nd CD has
already started causing quite a stir and they look forward to
getting more of their music Australia wide and beyond…….
They are all extremely well trained versatile muso’s who love
performing. The band comprises the following members
SANDIE (vocals) is the voice and face of Ruckus….. Her stage
performance consistently captivates our audiences……

MARCELLA (violin, mandolin) is a very talented
multi-instrumentalist who has been playing for approx. 25 yrs.
Be prepared to be blown away…..
MICHAEL (guitar,vocals) is another accomplished muso who loves
what he does. He loves a joke with the Ruckus crowd and always
generates a memorable audience reaction……..
ANDY(drums) has a great appreciation of all things DRUM
He just loves what he does and it shows in the solid beats that
help drive the dynamic rhythm section………
KEVIN (bass,vocals) comes from a long and traditional line of
country performers.
Adds great harmony’s and driving bottom end…….
The bands energetic live performances are drawn from over 100
songs Their debut self titled CD comprises 3 mighty
“Aussie”country originals and 4 killer southern rock covers that
show the bands versatility. Their 2nd CD “THE OTHER SIDE” Which
was released in Tamworth 2007 is another step forward for RUCKUS.
It consists of 12 songs, 7 of these penned by the band.
It shows a softer side to the band with a couple ballads written
after the unfortunate passing of parents of band members, 4 of
whom passed away in the previous 2 years, as well as a haunting
rendition of the Elvis song “In the Ghetto” It also shows a
humorous and lighter side with “Devil went to the pub” and the
Neil Young song “Get back to the Country” which features Sandie on
JewsHarp. There is a couple of ‘in your face’ out there,
instrumentals written by Marcy which awarded her 2 Golden Fiddle
Awards in Tamworth as well as the normal country rockin’ songs
RUCKUS have built their reputation playing.
RUCKUS have also recently signed off on a deal with Australias
premier truck builders FREIGHTLINER in a sponsorship deal which
has allowed them, with the help of TRUCKIN’LIFE magazine, to put
on the front cover of the Feb. issue of Truckin’ Life, 10 of the
bands original songs.
RUCKUS have performed all around Victoria, Tasmania and Southern
N.S.W. as well as Tamworth. Festivals, rodeos and B&S balls and
truck shows.
In the next 12 mths. RUCKUS intend to obtain promotional and
managerial sponsorship to allow the production and release of
video clips to support their original compositions and the release
of their 2nd CD.
