FOR TANIA - IT DOESN’T GET MUCH BETTER THAN THIS!!
Tania Kernaghan and KCR Records are celebrating the success of Tania’s latest hit, “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This”, which has hit Number 1 on the official Country Top 30 Singles Chart (14th July 2007).

“Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” is Tania’s first Number 1 single in six years. “Goin’ Bush” was the last to hit the top spot in 2001 – and this is the first for Tania as an independent artist.

“I am absolutely stoked that “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” has hit number one off the back of the successful video clip. It really doesn’t get much better than this!”, said Tania Kernaghan after hearing the wonderful news.

It’s also great news for the writer of the song – Fiona Kernaghan - who has just arrived back in Australia to commence writing with Tania for her follow up album to “Higher Ground”.
“Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” is the fourth single lifted from Tania Kernaghan’s latest album, “Higher Ground”, which is out now through KCR and Shock Distribution.

TANIA MAKES “DISCOVER DOWNUNDER” DEBUT THIS WEEKEND!
Australian Country Music Star, Tania Kernaghan, makes her debut as part of the “Discover Downunder” team this Saturday - when she joins the top rating Channel 9 lifestyle program.

Hosts Paul Cronin and Dean Allen-Craig will be joined by Tania in a very informative magazine style show that concentrates on road travel throughout Australia in a car, caravan or motorhome - stopping at the many tourist attractions and holiday parks along the way.

Tania Kernaghan was literally born in a caravan being the daughter of Australian Country music Godfather Ray Kernaghan, and sister to Lee Kernaghan. Tania has toured all over the outback with Slim Dusty and other famous artists and as she says “can hitch up, tow and reverse a caravan with the best of ‘em”. Apart from sharing a few barbecue recipes and revealing some of her favourite holiday sites - Tania adds a musical fun touch to the show with her campfire sing-along and Dean often strums along.

Paul Cronin, best known for his role as Australia’s favourite father figure in “The Sullivans” is a passionate advocate for seeing Australia, its history and culture first as a means of building our national identity. Dean Allen-Craig is a TV news journalist and has a terrific knack of explaining all things technical in layman’s terms and has a great understanding of the bush.

Tania’s television venture by no means indicates a break from her music – Tania’s new single, “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This”, hit radio this week and the ground breaking new video hit the desk at CMC earlier today.

The clip was directed by Brett Anderson who is well known in the film industry for his work on feature films such as The Dish, The Wog Boy & Romper Stomper, television programs including The Secret Life of Us, Good Guys Bad Guys & The Sullivans and music videos for artists such as Kylie Minogue & The Butterfly Effect. “It was a thrill and an honour to work with Brett. Not only does he have an amazing eye for detail, his creative prowess is second to none”, says Tania.

Tania’s latest album, “Higher Ground”, also recently re-entered the ARIA Country Charts at Number 8 and she continues to travel the country as part of Lee Kernaghan’s “Outback to The Beaches Tour”.

“Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This”
It was as if Hollywood had hit the Victorian town of Ballarat recently - when country music star, Tania Kernaghan, came to town - to shoot the video for her latest single, “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This”.

Shot on location in the heart of Ballarat and it’s beautiful surrounding areas, Kernaghan and her crew shut down streets and had press and fans gathered to witness the event which had the whole town buzzing with excitement.

Not only does he have an amazing eye for detail, his creative prowess is second to none”, says Tania Kernaghan.

Accustomed to smaller scale video shoots, Kernaghan, was knocked out when she saw the trucks full of camera and lighting equipment freighted in from Melbourne especially for the shoot. There were cameras & utes mounted on trailers, green screens & metres of cables everywhere! “When I arrived to start filming the clip I was really taken aback by the amount of equipment that was being unloaded from the two enormous production trucks. When you work with the best in the business you really do get the very best in every aspect!” Tania says.

The video clip for “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” all came together thanks to Ballarat advertising executive, Walter Collins from Collins Advertising Media - who is a huge fan of Tania and her music. “Tania was an absolute professional from start to finish. One of the things that particularly struck me was her genuine friendliness to her fans. She really does connect and love the people who support her”, Walt says. “When I initially called Walter to discuss the idea of filming my music video clip in his home town he was bursting with enthusiasm. Walter’s commitment to the project was paramount from the start, he was determined this music video clip would surpass any of it’s rivals”, says Tania.

After scouting in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane it was also Walter Collins who stumbled across Iain McClure working at a local car yard in Ballarat and convinced him to play the role of Tania’s love interest. “I thought Walt was having me on and then he said he was serious, so I was surprised”, says Iain. “I had an absolute ball shooting the video with Tania – it was a great day and I had heaps of fun. Tania’s a great kisser too”.

There was tremendous support from Ballarat locals to help make the day run smoothly and make the clip look sensational. “When you go to a town like Ballarat, you are sure to find genuine people. Everyone from Council to shop owners right through to the extras who worked on the video were incredibly accommodating. I was truly overwhelmed by their support”, says Tania.

“I believe this clip is the best music video clip I have shot during my career. I can’t wait to share “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” with everyone”, Tania concluded.

The video for “Life Don’t Get Much Better Than This” hits screens shortly and a sneak peek is available at www.myspace.com/taniakernaghan

BALLARAT MAN CAST IN NEW TANIA KERNAGHAN MUSIC CLIP!
LOCAL TO PLAY KERNAGHAN’S LOVE INTEREST.

The producers of Tania Kernaghan’s new music clip to be shot in Ballarat, have by chance stumbled
across an unlikely actor to play the lead role in her new music video. The lead role will see 26 year old Iain
McClure play Tania’s boyfriend, and appear in every scene, some of them cheeky, if not a little raunchy!
The search has been on for over a month to find the lead role, modelling agencies in Sydney and Melbourne were
approached to find the perfect look, even Tania was at a lost. Auditions were also held in Brisbane but without success.
Collins Media Advertising’s Walt Collins, happened to visit a city car yard and made the discovery of Iain! “It was quite a
funny moment, I’m not sure Iain took me that seriously at first. We took numerous still shots of him and sent them to Tania.
She instantly said YES’ explains Walt. “I knew there was a guy out there somewhere, but after searching high and low, true
to the character that Iain will play, I’m so glad we found him from the country… I’m stoked he’s from Ballarat.” Adds
Kernaghan.
Iain McClure of Ballarat will play Sam, the cheeky boyfriend of Tania Kernaghan in the clip to be release around the world.
Iain has worked as a bar tender and now a car salesman for Peter Stevens Motorworld and this will be his first acting role.
“I’m excited, a bit nervous, but it should be a bit of fun” he adds.
Filming for the Ballarat first is locked in for the 13th February, with some scenes being shot on Sturt street, then in an unrevealed
location near Waubra.
“Appearing in a clip of this scale will certainly give Iain a great start in film work if he’s interested. If they aren’t already, the
ladies will be knocking on his door.. a dream role for him I’m sure!” jokes Walt Collins.

Tania Kernaghan participated in National Tree Day activities last Sunday at the Merrimac Primary School on Queensland's Gold Coast.  She was joined in the festivities by Mike Orloff (originally from Southern California) who is the general manager of neighboring Lakelands Golf Club which is also in Merrimac.
