Sydney - based band Wildseed's debut self-titled
album delivers a fresh sound which is very appealing.
The 13 tracks on the album, are written or co-written by band founder Alan
Bruce, looks at life and love, delivered with enthusiasm
and passion by lead singer Didy Zenner. The majority of tracks
on the album are upbeat or uptempoed, giving it a
positive energetic feel. Alan draws on his experiences and
travels with his descriptive lyrics which are easy to identify with.
There's a clear country thread running though the
album but there are also variations in tempos and rhythms which
keep the album interesting and add to it's appeal. Of the faster
tracks, some of the standouts include the opening "The Fire",
"I Can See It From Here", "I Don't Wanna Go Home",
the pacy "Don't Lie To Me" and "It's All Good".
Wildseed mix it up well with some slower tracks
including the gentle "Salamander Bay", the tender "Picture Your Smile" and
the easy-going "Stuck In No Man's Land". They add a touch of
blues with "Something went wrong" which closes the album.
This is an album which will lift your spirits and
as a debut effort, Wildseed have delivered an album which should allow them
to flourish
on the country music scene.

Cheers from Didy, Alan, Andrew and Geoff
Sydney songwiter Alan Bruce was in a quandry - he
had songs galore written and waiting to see the light of day, but didn't
have anyone to sing them. Fortunately for Alan, his good mate Geoff Zenner
knew someone who could - Geoff's wife Didy
When Didy agreed to sing a few demo tracks, Alan knew his search was over.
It also proved to be extremely beneficial because
Geoff was a drummer & the idea of forming a band began to foster the
interest of all concerned As chance would have it,
Alan met guitarist Dave Bull, who had just moved back to Sydney after living
in Far North Queensland and before he knew it, the band Wildseed was
happening. Having spent time as a member of the country acoustic ensemble,
Strum, Alan honed his skills as a
songwriter and now with Wildseed, he has the perfect "vehicle" to breathe
life into the music.
Things could not have worked out better for Alan and the band. Didy's vocals
are well suited to Alan's songs and with passion-in-common for country
music, the band has been steadily building their profile on the back of the
release of their self-titled debut album.
Recorded at the Doghouse Studio, built by Geoff, the 13 track release, with
all the songs written or co-written by Alan, has already generated three
successful singles, "Stuck In No Man's Land", "The Fire" and their most
recent, "Salamander Bay".
Wildseed, based in Sydney, represent a union of kindred spirits, an aspect
which is vital to their success. "We never wanted to be
perceived as a singer and her backing band," Alan said. "It's so gratifying
when our audience come up to us and comment on the magic they pick up on
emanating from the stage."
With their music getting airplay and a clip "The Fire" released on CMC,
Wildseed are expanding their audience and are looking forward to a solid
Tamworth Festival where they guarantee audiences will be very pleasantly
surprised.

WildSeed Update
WildSeed are "over the moon at the moment" having been
nominated in four categories in the Peoples Choice Awards. What makes these
awards very important for WildSeed is that they are voted by the fans. This
proves that all their hard work regarding their live performances is
starting to pay off. Its a great barometer. WildSeed pride themselves on
their strong work ethic and have some of the most devoted fans in Sydney and
beyond. After countless shows, radio interviews and hundreds of hours
dedicated to the "business" of running an independent band, Wildseed are
finally starting to reap the rewards. Nominated for: BEST GROUP OR DUO,
BEST SONG (The Fire), BEST ALBUM, and MOST PROMISING NEW STAR, add to this,
the release of their new Ross Wood produced video clip "Dont Lie To Me", and
with a healthy looking gig roster for the forthcoming Tamworth Festival
then the future starts to look pretty bright for WildSeed.
WildSeed's video "The
Fire" #35 in CMC Top 50.
Thank you to all our supporters that have requested our video "The
Fire". The clip is currently enjoying quite a bit of television exposure on
Country Music Channel. We only have a few more places to go before we make
it to the Top 30 Countdown. There are no guarantees though, so please keep
requesting.

We have a new radio single due for release in mid September with an
accompanying video sometime in October. We'll certainly keep you posted.
Hi to all our fans, WildSeed are busy promoting the
release of our new Ross Wood produced video clip, "THE FIRE". Early
indications have been very positive with Foxtel's Country Music Channel and
the ABC's RAGE both playing the clip. It is currently the fourth most
requested song on the Channel V web site. If would like CMC to play THE FIRE
more often.. the procedure is simple.. Even if you don't have access to pay
TV you can still help make the clip a success by requesting it online. The
more you request it, the more they'll play it. If it gets played enough,
there's a chance for us to make the "Top 30 Countdown".
We'll keep you updated on the clip's
progress.
Thanks again for all the emails, phone messages and the overwhelming support
WildSeed receive at our live shows.
Cheers WildSeed

G'Day all,
Well the band has been busy the past few months promoting the new album. All
the early signs are very encouraging from both fans and industry people. Our
latest single, "Salamander Bay" is receiving airplay all over the country
including CMR. Thankyou to all the programmers and DJs that are plugging the
song. Our recent "unofficial" album launch at Blacktown RSL was a huge
success. With a packed house and a real party atmosphere it was a most
enjoyable experience. Thanks to all the fans that turned up and we will see
you back at Blacktown later in the year.
WildSeed are performing at the Penrith Working Truck Show with Adam Brand,
James Blundell and more...on April 2nd. Come up and say hello.
Finally, thanks to everybody involved with Community Radio throughout the
country, (with a special thanks to Helen Kay, 2MCR) your support and
encouragement is most appreciated.
Dont forget to check our web site www.wildseed.com.au see at our next gig
Happy New Year to you all. Wildseed's eagerly
anticipated new album is finally finished and should be available at all
good record shops. If not contact the band via the web site
www.wildseed.com.au and a
copy will be organised for you. The band has been busy juggling recording
and performance commitments for the past twelve months but the hard work has
paid off. A unique sounding Australian album is the result. With Bill
Chambers and Tim Wedde chipping in, the final product is 13 original
Wildseed compositions which display the thoughts, influences, passions and
experiences of the band. The next single, "Salamander Bay" is out on NFS 103
in February. It was penned after band members took time off from recording
to spend some well earned R and R at the beautiful NSW coastal village. Be
sure to get out and say hello at a gig near you, or drop us an email. See ya
soon. Didy, Alan, Dave, Geoff.. .(Wildseed)
