Sherrie Austin performed with label-mates Craig Morgan and Lila
McCann at The Handlebar, in Greenville, South Carolina on June 30,
2004.  This show was kind of different because Sherrie and the two of
the other artists all performed together in a single show, rather
than one after another.  In one of these "in the round" type of
acoustic shows, each artist takes a turn at doing one of their songs,
while the others back them up instrumentally or on back vocals. (They
did 4 rounds, so each artist got to do 4 of their own songs.) Two
members of Sherrie's band played back-up too (Megan Mullins on fiddle
and Steve Williams on keyboard & guitar), as did a member from Craig
Morgan's band, and one from Lila McCann's band.  Sherrie and Craig
teased one another alot throughout the show, which had the audience
laughing quite a bit. Joe Diffie did a solo show afterwards, followed
by an autograph session with all the artists.

Sherrie Austin performed on the
Riverfront Stage at Fan Fair
Sherrie Austin performed on the Riverfront Stages at the CMA Music
Festival, formerly known as Fan Fair, on June 10, 2004.  The photo
line was flooded with fans as she performed the songs, "Put Your
Heart Into It, " "Jolene," "Streets Of Heaven," "Somethin' Missin' In
The Kissin',"  and her new single, "Son Of A Preacher Man."  The
audience was even more lively than usual, with the presence of some
of her Aussie family cheering in the crowd!  Afterwards, she signed
autographs at the Tower Records tent.

Earlier that day, Sherrie appeared at an exclusive Meet & Greet with
members of her Fan Squad, in thanks for all of their promotional
efforts.  Along with a nice brunch (very generously provided by The
Consortium), the fans in attendance got to sit and casually shoot the
breeze with Sherrie (who kept them all laughing most of the time),
acquire lots of promo goodies for her to sign, have their picture
taken with her....... and as a special surprise treat, Sherrie and
her co-writer Will Rambeaux performed for the first time, an acoustic
version of a brand new song they'd just written (which hasn't even
been recorded yet), called "The Next Ex."

month after I attend Fan Fair. :-)

Sherrie Austin and Craig Morgan

Sherrié Austin performed for over 200 fans and shoppers at the
Wal-Mart Supercenter in Rome, GA on May 1, 2004.  Co-sponsored by Dr.
Pepper, the "Chartbuster Experience" brings artists to towns all
across the country for free performances, the chance for fans to get
to meet their favorite stars, as well a mobile country music
memorabilia museum, and karaoke recording studio.  Sherrié shared the
stage with label-mate Craig Morgan, (who had the recent top 10 hit in
the USA, "Almost Home"), as well as Mandy Barnett, (star of the stage
musical, "Always... Patsy Cline.")

Sherrié performed a 4-song set, which featured the fan-favorites,
"Put Your Heart Into It," "Streets of Heaven," "Somethin' Missin' In
The Kissin'," and her rendition of "Son Of A Preacher Man."  After
her performance, she did a private meet & greet for the employees of
Wal-Mart, and then an autograph signing session inside the store with
Craig Morgan, where they both met with fans.  Representatives from
Sherrié's Fan Squad were also in attendance to show their support and
help recruit new members.

Sherrie Austin recently performed in Joe Diffie's First Steps Benefit
Show, at The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on February 8, 2004. She
performed the 3 songs, "Streets of Heaven," "Drivin' Into The Sun,"
and her rendition of "Son Of A Preacher Man."  Other artists included
Lila McCann, Buddy Jewel, Hal Ketchum, and of course Joe Diffie
himself... among many others.  First Steps is a private, non-profit
organization for the education and development of children with
special needs, that has served the Nashville community for nearly 50
years.  This was the 12th annual benefit hosted by Diffie, with funds
being raised for the charity by both concert ticket sales, and music
memorabilia auctions, with items donated by some of the biggest names
in country music.

SHERRIÉ AUSTIN SHOOTS VIDEO FOR “DRIVIN’ INTO THE SUN”
NASHVILLE, TENN. (January 22, 2004)—Broken Bow/C4 recording artist Sherrié Austin filmed the video for “Drivin’ Into the Sun,” the second single from her current CD, Streets of Heaven, this past weekend at Jekyll Island, GA.

Austin developed the concept for the video, which will capture the passion, spontaneity, and impetuousness of young love. The video will be directed by Gerry Wenner, whose credits include music videos for Lee Ann Womack (“I Hope You Dance,” “Never Again, Again”), Reba McEntire (“I’d Rather Ride Around With You”), Trisha Yearwood (“I Need You”), Patty Loveless (“Lonely Too Long”), and Travis Tritt (“The Whiskey Ain’t Workin’”), among others. The video will also feature Austin’s labelmate, Megan Mullins, who plays fiddle and sings harmony vocals in her band.
“Drivin’ Into the Sun,” co-written by Sherrié Austin and Georgia Middleman, goes for adds at country radio on February 23.

Following the video shoot, Austin will head to Crested Butte, CO, for the tenth annual Country in the Rockies celebration, taking place from January 27 – February 1. Country in the Rockies is the signature fund-raising event for the T.J. Martell Foundation for Leukemia, Cancer and AIDS Research and its Frances Williams Preston Laboratories at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in Nashville. The event’s activities, focusing on skiing and music, include: snow skiing, celebrity ski races, snowboarding, snowshoeing, dog-sledding and horseback riding. Indoors, participants can take in all-star concerts and informal fireside "guitar pulls." Other artists participating include: Mandy Barnett, Blackhawk, Suzy Bogguss, Charlie Daniels, Billy Dean, Andy Griggs, Kathy Mattea, Jo Dee Messina, Mel Tillis and Trick Pony.

On February 8 Austin will join Joe Diffie, Buddy Jewell and Lila McCann at the annual “Joe Diffie and Friends” benefit concert for First Steps at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. First Steps, Inc. is a Nashville-based organization for the education and development of children with special needs. The program is dear to Diffie’s heart because his son Tyler, who was born with Down Syndrome, attended the school until he was three.

Sherrie Austin performed
 The Trap Sports Bar
Nashville

Sherrie Austin performed at The Trap sports bar in Nashville on
9-14-03, as parts of the venue's season-long post-game concert
series, following each of the Tennesse Titan's football games. A few
of the other acts scheduled for the series are Mark Wills, Andy
Griggs, and Jessica Andrews.

On this tour, Sherrie has a new half-acoutic, half-electric stage
configuration for her band... giving alot of her classic tunes a
whole new sound, and the new ones a very rich and energetic intro to
the fans hearing them live for the first time. Her band is currently
also featuring a hot new fiddle player-- Megan Mullins, an artist in
developement on Broken Bow Records-- who is just an incredible
instrumentalist, back vocal, and a real compliment to Sherrie's
music. While performing many fan favorites, Sherrie played a few
songs from her new album, such as "Streets Of Heaven," "Fools Like
Us," and "Singing To The Scarecrow." Her tour is scheduled to
continue at least through November, though new dates are being added
frequently to her itinerary.

Sherrie at 2003 Fan Fair
Photos and Report courtesy of Dianne Moore from Atlanta, GA.

Sherrie Austin performed in the Country Kickstart Show of Fan
Fair on June 5th, 2003 on the Greased Lightning Riverfront Stage in
downtown Nashville, TN. She was joined in opening this annual
tradition with artists like Chad Brock, Rhett Adkins, Lee Greenwood,
The Oak Ridge Boys, and many others... including a surprise
performance by Kenny Chesney.
While Sherrie performed several favorites like "Lucky In Love"
and "Jolene," the audience went absolutely wild for her new single,
"Streets of Heaven" which was just released the week of Fan Fair in
the USA, and is already charting on Billboard's country charts. She
will be continuing to perform throughout the season in support of her
new song and the upcoming album of the same name, due for release in
August by Broken Bow Records. "Streets of Heaven" is quite a lyrical
departure for Sherrie, and will most certainly impact her status as a
songwriter dues to the deep and sensitive nature of the song. The
lyrics are posted on Sherrie's official website:

new record deal, and upcoming tour dates.

Sherrie has signed with The Consortium for management.
