‘YEAH SHE DOES’ GOES ALL THE WAY TO #1 ON CMC
The fans have spoken and Travis Collins’ first single from his new album No Boundaries, ‘Yeah She Does’ has gone all the way to #1 on this week’s Country Music Channel Top 30 Countdown.

The former CMC Country Pick is the third Travis Collins track to top that chart as interest in the new album and the songs on it continue to build.

Yeah She Does’ has also jumped 13 spots this week to #13 on The Music Network’s COUNTRY HOT 30 National Country Airplay Chart – a demonstration of the growing interest from radio as well.

The clip for Yeah She Does was filmed and produced by Golden Guitar winning producer Glenn Wilson.

The track was written by global superstar Keith Urban and Hugh Murray.

Now back in Australia following his UK tour, Collins is currently touring locally with James Blundell across Australia and will appear on the main stage at two upcoming major festivals - the Deni Ute Muster in Deniliquin on September 29 and Mud Bulls & Music in Jimna (Queensland) on November 3.

CMC SAYS "YES WE DO" TO THE NEW TRAVIS COLLINS SINGLE, ‘YEAH SHE DOES’
Emerging local star Travis Collins has returned to the airwaves with the first single from his highly anticipated new album No Boundaries.

Titled ‘Yeah She Does’, the track was written by global superstar Keith Urban and Hugh Murray.

The reaction to the track, which was serviced to country radio last week, has been very encouraging. In addition to this, it has now been confirmed that the video clip will debut on CMC as its "Country Pick" this weekend.

The very fun and quirky clip, directed by Golden Guitar winning producer Glenn Wilson, also features Sydney social pages regular, Jamie Wright – who was crowned "Miss Bondi Blonde" by Paris Hilton on New Years Day.

Travis will return to Australia following his current UK tour and launch No Boundaries at the 2007 Gympie Muster. He will then begin touring with James Blundell across the nation.

No Boundaries features 12 new recordings – most written or co-written by Travis himself.

Travis Collins’ new album No Boundaries is released on August 18 through ABC Music/Warner Music Australia

FROM NASHVILLE TO THE UK AND BACK TO GYMPIE – TRAVIS COLLINS GEARS UP FOR HIS NEW ALBUM LAUNCH
22/06/07

As he travels the world and continues to develop his craft, Travis Collins is gearing up for the launch of his new album, No Boundaries when he returns to the main stage at the 2007 Toyota Muster at Gympie.

The former Starmaker winner and 2007 Golden Guitar nominee is currently completing a performing and song-writing stint in Nashville. Earlier in the month he performed at the CMA Festival’s Global Artist Showcase at The Stage on Broadway in Downtown Nashville after receiving a Commercial Radio Australia sponsorship to fly to the US. His performance impressed many, including Aristomedia Nashville President and CMA Global Markets Committee Chairman Jeff Walker who said,

"Travis Collins shows amazing potential as a songwriter and performer. His appearance at the 2007 Global Artist Party, as part of the CMA Music Festival, created a lot of buzz within the Nashville music community and had numerous marque songwriters clamouring to co-write with him. His songs, his stage presence and his personableness should guarantee him a long term career in country music at a Global level."

The CMA Festival, the biggest country music festival in the world, was attended by over 191,000 music fans.

Travis heads to the UK shortly for a six week tour before heading home to launch No Boundaries. The album features 12 new recordings and is produced by Herm Kovac. It hits stores on August 18.

“We gave Travis and his producer all the freedom they needed with this album and the results speak for themselves, says Tim Holland – Manager, Country Music Label at ABC Music. “Travis’ growing legion of fans are going to love this album and he’ll undoubtedly grab a stack of new fans as well when the new music is released.”

Collins himself can’t wait to head home and launch the album at Gympie on the event’s main stage on August 24.

"These past months have been the greatest experiences of my life. By the end of this overseas trip, I'll be craving a full-blown, home-grown rowdy crowd to play to. I can’t wait to get back home to the Toyota Muster. I've got new songs, a new album and I’m ready to party hard," said Collins.

The edgy first single, Yeah She Does will be released to media in two weeks and was co-written by superstar Keith Urban. It sets the tone for what is a fantastic new album release.

Songwriting Talent of a Great New Artist –he writes as good as he sings!    Travis Collins signs to ABC Music Publishing
Undoubtedly one of the most exciting young performers and songwriters to come
over the Australian music horizon in the last year is 22-year-old Travis Collins, whose career got its first kick-start when he won the 2004 Toyota Star Maker Quest. Since then, the response to his debut album, Start the Car, has been overwhelming, with no less than five hit singles released from the album.

Having first appeared singing a duet with fellow Star Maker winner Samantha McClymont at the 2006 Country Music Awards of Australia gala concert, Travis was back performing this year at the 2007 Awards with his song “Full Tank” and his first instrumental recording, “Redliner” - both nominations in 2007 and both stand-outs on the night.

While Travis’ reputation as a musician and performer has garnered the most attention to date, it has been his songwriting – first widely heard on his current album with the very personal tracks ‘1000 Memories’ and “ I Was Wrong “, that has drawn the attention of ABC Music Publishing who are delighted to announce the signing of Travis Collins, the songwriter, to their key country roster.

Head of ABC Music Publishing, Eloise Nolan – “Travis is a writer who knows how to use

words; he’s insightful, eloquent, has a sense of humour and a sense of moment, while his

skills as a musician means that the melody is never second best – as proved by the instrumental ‘Redliner’. There’s a lot of depth and potential here and I’m very, very happy to see Travis join us at the beginning of what is a very exciting time for us and our writers.”

Said Travis Collins: "I've noticed myself writing alot more lately; almost as if it’s second
nature ... I've found the rewards of the art form and I guess that comes from really enjoying
the writing, playing my own songs in my sets at gigs, having people relate to them... the real attraction is that it lets me open up to myself, that’s the core of it all really".

"With so many dreams in the pipeline, I am very pleased to be writing with ABC Music

Publishing, There is a current of voltage and warmth in this company, the other writers are coming up with great songs and I am proud and honoured to be amongst them .. . .its like finding a new place to live, you love the house, you love the view and you love how close you are to all amenities. This house is a great publisher, the view is the future and my amenities are the other writers and songs. These are exciting times"

While Travis has begun writing for his new upcoming album, ABC Music Publishing is
assisting in co-ordinating his songwriting trip to Nashville later this year, where he will link
up with writers from ABC Music Publishing associates, including Murrah Music amongst
others, and then also on to the UK.

TRAVIS COLLINS WINS NATIONAL AWARD AT THE WHITTLESEA COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL
ABC recording artist, Travis Collins, has won the Trailblazers Heritage Award at the 16th Annual Victorian & National Country Music Awards with his brilliant rendition of the Bruce Woodley/Dobe Newton classic, “I Am Australian”.

The song was released by ABC Music in mid 2006 as one of 3 bonus tracks to Travis’ successful debut album “Start the Car”. It was recorded live at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre during Travis’ winning StarMaker performance in 2004.

This Award heralds a great start to 2007 for Travis, hot on the heels of his 2 Golden Guitar nominations in January. It is shaping up to be a fantastic year for Travis with his exciting opportunity to perform at the Global Artist Showcase at the CMA Music Festival, Fanfare in Nashville, a sponsorship established by Commercial Radio Australia in conjunction with an Australian Advisory Group to the CMA Global Task Force. Many thanks go to Commercial Radio Australia’s CEO, Joan Warner and Rob Potts, an International Director on the CMA Board for this chance to showcase Travis’ talents.

Travis will then tour the UK and Europe throughout July and August with over 30 performances at various Festivals and venues. His releases there to date have been supported widely. The Frank Ifield “International Spur Award” was the springboard for Travis’ music reaching the UK & Europe.

On returing to Australia in late August 2007, Travis will release his 2nd album through ABC Music and distributed by Warner Music. The album is one of the most eagerly anticipated albums of 2007. And then it’s touring all over Australia for Travis well into 2008 to promote his new album and his very individual style.

Many thanks to Barry Harley & Rural Press for their generosity and continued support in allowing Travis to record & release the live performance of “I Am Australian” which is now a major award winner.

TRAVIS COLLINS RELEASES BONUS EDITION
And Announces A Run Of Shows
ABC Music will be releasing Travis Collins’ Start The Car Bonus Edition on the 19th August which will feature the new single, Full Tank. Not only did Full Tank fit in with the revved up theme of the original album, but it was actually written as a sequel to Travis’s latest single, “I Was Wrong”. To launch the release of this album and new single, Travis will be taking it to the road for some live shows – SEE DATES BELOW.

Full Tank is undoubtedly one of the finest that 22-year-old Travis has written, and shows that he’s becoming one of Australia’s most accomplished and perceptive songwriters. It’s one of three new songs featured on the bonus edition of Start the Car. The others are a sizzling instrumental, “Redline” (on which he played all the guitars), and — in response to popular demand — his moving version of the classic “I Am Australian”.

“It’s taken until this stage of my career that I’ve been comfortable recording an instrumental, so it’s a real thrill to have it on the album. It captures all my guitar influences, including Mark Knopfler, Joe Satriani and Tommy Emmanuel,” Travis said.

It’s already been a huge year for Travis, with two singles hitting the top of the CMC video charts, with Full Tank set to follow in their footsteps.

Travis recently returned from a three-week trip to the United States, where he performed at three bluegrass festivals in Missouri, as well as venues in Nashville and Austin. It has been confirmed that he will tour Europe and the United Kingdom in 2007, and he also plans to start recording his second album later this year.

TRAVIS COLLINS’ NEW SINGLE “FULL TANK” TO RADIO
AND PERFORMING AT LANSDOWNE HOTEL IN SYDNEY ON AUG 8TH
When Travis Collins was asked for some new songs to include on the special bonus edition of his hit album Start the Car, he had the perfect track.
Not only did “Full Tank” fit in with the revved up theme of the original album, but it was actually written as a sequel to Travis’s latest single, “I Was Wrong”.
“This song came to me in a motel room in Caboolture. I realised you can either sit around feeling sorry for yourself, wallowing in your misery, or you can move on,” Travis said.
“This is a song about grabbing life by the horns, taking control and getting out of that situation. You finally figure out that wounds eventually heal, and you get over things. In fact, things have a habit of working out for the best in hindsight — although hindsight can be a long time coming sometimes!”
“Full Tank” has just been released as Travis’s brand new single. After it spilled on to the page that night in Caboolture, he took it to leading songwriter Jay Collie (from country band Jonah’s Road) and the pair finished it off.
The song is undoubtedly one of the finest 22-year-old Travis has written, and shows that he’s becoming one of Australia’s most accomplished and perceptive songwriters.

It’s already been a huge year for Travis, with two singles hitting the top of the CMC video charts, and “Full Tank” set to follow in their footsteps.

He’s set to perform at both the Gympie Muster and Mud, Bulls and Music later in the year, and is also part of the stellar lineup appearing in Aussies Walk the Line: A Tribute to Johnny Cash at Star City this month.

Travis recently returned from a three-week trip to the United States, where he performed at three bluegrass festivals in Missouri, as well as at venues in Nashville and Austin. It has been confirmed that he will tour Europe and the United Kingdom in 2007, and he also plans to start recording his second album later this year.

Sydneysiders can catch his fantastic live show at the Lansdowne Hotel in Sydney on Tuesday, August 8th from 8.30pm. See what they’re all talking about………..

TRAVIS COLLINS WINS!!
The Frank Ifield International Spur Award
ABC Country artist Travis Collins was last night awarded the Frank Ifield International Spur Award for 2006. Supported by the Rotary Club of Galston since 1988, the award focus centres on the potential global appeal of the recording, the artist's individual style and professionalism of performance both on and off the stage. This international appeal is critical, as a significant component of the award is the release of Travis' music to international airplay, particularly the UK & Europe. Travis' first single will go to radio, magazines and booking agents in the UK and Europe in April.  Frank will oversee promotion and help Travis with touring opportunities and Travis will tour there and perform showcases and Festivals throughout the region. His album "Start The Car" will no doubt be released locally too.

Twice Golden Guitar finalist and Toyota Star Maker winner, Travis launched his debut album last August at the Gympie Muster. His entry into the UK market has already been well received, with respected country music magazine, CMP giving the album a rave review and commenting that "...Collins veers happily between genres throughout the album, his strong voice, exuberance and energy carrying the day... Some nice lyric touches and Collins lived-in vocal add just the right touch of weariness."
Travis has just hit the road here with his Start The Car tour, which will see him perform shows in every Australian state before the year's end.
To quote Maton Guitars, one of his major sponsors," Travis is Australian made for the world stage."

TRAVIS COLLINS WINS SPUR AWARD!

It was a packed house at Canterbury-Hurlstone Park RSL Club in Sydney on March 10th for a concert featuring previous winners of the FRANK IFIELD INTERNATIONAL SPUR AWARD. Stacey Morris, Wayne Law, Donna Boyd, Mike Carr and Wayne Horsburgh all paid tribute to Frank who presents the award each year in conjunction with The Galston Country Music Festival.

The highlight of the night was the presentation of the 2006 award which went to a stunned TRAVIS COLLINS. Although no stranger to awards and national recognition, Travis was delighted to learn that this award will ensure significant airplay and promotion in the U.K. and Europe for his music.

Frank Ifield said of his choice; "What the world of Country Music needs is a new direction to capture the imagination of a whole new generation. We have the answer in Travis Collins. When Travis hits the stage the world takes a breath, then within minutes the whole world erupts. This charismatic young man has all the pizzazz of youth, bursting with talent and I am convinced he will take Country Music forward in his own direction. His direction? The World!”

Single to Radio W/C 6th February 2006
Travis Collins “I Was Wrong”
It’s just two years since Travis Collins won the Toyota Star Maker Quest in Tamworth, but his career’s already revving up into top gear thanks to the overwhelming success of his debut album, Start the Car.

The album’s title track has sped straight into the number 1 spot on the CMC country video chart, and 21-year-old Travis is widely being touted as the hottest young star on the country scene.

His Tamworth concert with fellow Toyota Star Maker winner Samantha McClymont was huge, with the pair delighting a capacity crowd, and they teamed up again to perform at this year’s Golden Guitar Awards, where they were finalists in the Vocal Collaboration category.

He also performed at the Australia Day Spectacular at Darling Harbour on the amazing aqua stage to 180,000 people along with 2 shows for the Country Rocks concert in Sydney’s historic Rocks area on Australia Day.

Now, after the sizzling country rock sounds of “Start the Car”, Travis has moved down a few gears to show what he can do with a moving country ballad.

His latest single, “I Was Wrong”, is a song of lost love and regret, penned by Travis straight from the heart.
“When I wrote ‘I Was Wrong’, all I wanted to do was have something of my pure emotion coming through my stereo,” Travis said.
“Some people write letters or poems to someone they miss and wish they could still have — but for me, it always comes out as a song.”
“I Was Wrong” is a powerful, evocative song that once again showcases the remarkable songwriting talents of this young man.

Its sensitive, heart-rending delivery also shows that he’s capable of a diverse range of musical styles, performing each with style and charisma.
Those qualities have seen Travis win over thousands of country fans all over Australia during the past two years.

He’s set to gather many more in 2006 when he sets off on his extensive Start the Car tour, which will take him around the country before year’s end.

School Spectacular, Nomination for Golden Guitar and Mo Award
The School Spectacular can boast many of today's stars as participants in years gone by.
A group of these guys, including Travis Collins, Human Nature, Nathan Foley & Samantha McClymont, will share some of their experiences tonight in a documentary on ABC TV at 9.30pm.

Travis has been nominated for a Golden Guitar Award for Vocal Collaboration of the Year for the haunting
duet "A Fool Like Me" recorded with Samantha McClymont (2005 Toyota StarMaker). He has also
been nominated in the 30th Australian Entertainment 'MO' Awards for the Slim Dusty Male Performer
Award.

The video clip for Travis' new single, "Start the Car" is already #4 on the Country Music Charts just
3 weeks after it's debut on CMC.

And if that's not enough good news to deal with, Travis is honoured to have been asked to perform
with his band, Whiskeytrain, at the huge Australia Day Celebrations at Darling Harbour on 26th January
2006. Watch out for them on the amazing Aquastage on the televised performance or the Country Rocks
segment throughout the day.

Held in Tamworth each January, Toyota Star Maker has long been recognised as Australia’s premier country music talent quest, and has launched the careers of Keith Urban, Lee Kernaghan, and Beccy Cole.

The Toyota Star Maker Show presents a night of diverse country music at its best. The stars will perform their own songs as well as crowd pleasers by Patsy Cline, Johnny Cash, Garth Brooks, George Jones, Keith Urban and Gretchen Wilson amongst others. The Toyota Star Maker Tour promises to be an evening to remember; a dynamic show that country music fans will love.

2004 Toyota Star Maker winner Travis Collins was born to be on stage. He is country music’s hottest new act and his debut album Start The Car has just been released by ABC Music. It’s already receiving reviews like “Amazing debut album…solid and believable with a clear sense of direction…Collins’ performance is outstanding” - Country Update. He’s just launched his album on main stage at the Gympie Muster in Qld and his single 1000 Memories is racing up the radio chart. It reached #4 on the CMC Video Chart and Travis is one of those artists you just know is destined for big things.

Sam McClymont is the 2005 Toyota Star Maker winner and the dynamic 19-year-old has been eagerly awaiting her crack at country music stardom since she was a kid. Now the Grafton local has moved to Sydney and is grasping the opportunity with both hands. ABC Music released her debut single, Cookin’ In My Kitchen and it reached #3 on the radio chart and was also top five on the CMC Video Chart. Her second single The Heart Of A Man has just gone to radio and Sam’s just finished filming a video clip with award winning director Ross Wood.

City girl Amber Lawrence, who hails from Sydney, started singing professionally after her 21st birthday and has started work on her debut album. The singer/songwriter impressed the Toyota Star Maker judges in Tamworth as an entertaining performer and delivers enthusiasm, honesty and humour. Having recently performed the National Anthem for the Prime Minister, John Howard, Amber’s career has taken her throughout NSW, QLD, New Zealand and even New Caledonia.

Travis Collins - 1000 Memories of Home single PR
from album "Start the Car"  To be released in August
Travis Collins reckons he’s spent more than his fair share of time away from home since winning the prestigious Star Maker title in 2004. But with his star well and truly on the rise, it’s something he knows he has to do.

“I love being on the road, but there are times when I just miss being home, and want nothing more to be there that I can almost smell and taste it,” Travis said.
Those emotions have inspired Travis’s brand new single, “1000 Memories of Home” — a song he wrote while touring extensively earlier this year

“1000 Memories of Home” is the first single from Travis’s debut album, Start the Car, which will be launched at this year’s Gympie Muster in August.

It’s a poignant, powerful ballad that indelibly marks Travis as one of the finest young songwriters and vocalists in Australia today.

“It’s a very honest song which comes from my heart and my experience. But it’s also a song I think a lot of people can relate to — especially anyone who’s got to be away from home a fair bit to make a living. It’s a lot to give up, but sometimes the rewards are so much greater because of it,” he said.

Since winning Star Maker 18 months ago, Travis has steadily been building a fan base around Australia for his cool, edgy contemporary style of country music. His two previous singles, “Bridge That You Won’t Burn” and “Barbed Wire and Roses” (both released as part of his Star Maker prize), have both soared to number 3 on the country charts, and he performed to packed houses at this year’s Tamworth Festival, as well as touring extensively with Melinda Schneider over the last few months.
Start the Car, due for release in August, was produced by the legendary Herm Kovac, and features the cream of Australia’s country musicians as well as a swag of sensational new songs from Travis.

TRAVIS COLLINS SIGNS TO ABC COUNTRY
Following his stunning shows at the Tamworth Country Music Festival, ABC Country announces a long term signing with country music’s hottest young act, Travis Collins.

It’s rare to see a performer that you know was just born to be on stage. Travis has mastered what most performers take years to perfect. His presence is extraordinary, not only does he have an outstanding voice, he plays the guitar like a 40 year old veteran and connects with his audience intensely. There aren’t too many Australian acts that can make that claim in any musical genre.

And he’s just 20 years old. He displays a maturity far beyond his years and you get the feeling he’ll be doing this all his life. Travis himself says he’s never wanted to do anything else. Growing up in Glenfield on the outskirts of Sydney, he has been performing since age 11 when he was discovered busking on a Campbelltown street and asked to perform at a nearby RSL. “They said they’d pay me $100, so I was pretty keen to do it!” remembers Travis.

2004 was another career defining year for Travis; he released his debut single “Bridge That You Won’t Burn”, written by Travis and his father Terry, and it reached #3 on the Country Music Chart, then followed with the beautiful duet with Beccy Cole, “I Am Australian”. At radio since December is his third single “Barbed Wire And Roses” which is gaining airplay everywhere and has turned into one of his most popular live songs.

Travis has been touring extensively with Melinda Schneider, which has taken him to three different States in the past few months. He is continuing to write songs and will record his debut album in April. It will be launched at the Gympie Music Muster at the end of August.

Star Maker producer Herm Kovac will be at the helm and has worked with Star Maker winners including Kylie Sackley, Brendan Walmsley and Lyn Bowtell.

Clive Hodson, head of ABC Music, predicts a bright future for Travis. " Travis is a dynamic & charismatic artist who is definitely at the forefront of the new wave of Australian country music, Hodson said.

Travis Collins “Barbed Wire and Roses”
Travis Collins has no intention of giving up his 2004 Star Maker crown quietly — in fact, his latest single is likely to make his many new fans sit up and take notice all over again.
The driving, mesmerising country rock song “Barbed Wire and Roses” is very different to Travis’s first two singles, the up-tempo country shuffle “Bridge You Won’t Burn” and his heart-felt and very appealing version of “I Am Australian”, recorded as a duet with Beccy Cole.
But that makes “Barbed Wire and Roses” an even more striking venture — it shows that Travis can deliver a wide spectrum of country with style, class and above all passion.
“I loved ‘Barbed Wire and Roses’ when I heard it amongst a batch of demos from Nashville,” Travis said.

“Country rock is very much a part of who I am, and this song is such a powerful explosion of emotion. It really hits you in the guts and makes you stop and think.”

Since he won Star Maker back in January, Travis Collins has been working hard to ensure that Australian country fans remember this good-looking, charming young man with the big voice and charismatic stage presence.

“I know Star Maker’s just the beginning. It was an amazing opportunity, but I’ve always known that really making it in the country music industry would take a lot of hard work, dedication and determination. If anything, I’ll be cranking things up from now on,” Travis said.

Twenty-year-old Travis plans to make the most of his last few weeks as the Star Maker titleholder, and he’ll be heading to Tamworth to perform at several high-profile shows, including the Festival Opening Concert, FanFest, at the Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre and of course at the Star Maker Grand Final, where he’ll hand over his title.

Travis Collins/ Beccy Cole
I Am Australian - duet

An Outback tour with the legendary Brian Young gave Star Maker winner Travis Collins a whole new perspective on the contemporary Australian anthem “I Am Australian”.
“I’d been singing the song live for years, but I don’t think I really understood the breadth of what it was saying,” Travis said.

“But I spent three months in the desert on the Brian Young tour in the first half of last year, and when I got back I found that I really understood what that song meant. I sing it now with real feeling.”

Travis’s heartfelt version of “I Am Australian” was one reason he took out the coveted Star Maker title in Tamworth in January. When he performed the song, the crowd went wild. Not only could this 19-year-old sing, but his stage presence was electrifying.

And he felt so strongly about the song that he included not one, but two, versions of it on his Star Maker single.

But the one about which his fans — and the Australian country music industry — are most excited is a duet with another Star Maker winner who’s made it to the big time — multi-Golden Guitar winner Beccy Cole.

The pair make the song their own, with their pure, sweet vocals and a real understanding of and feel for the song’s powerful lyrics.

Now, following the success of his first single, “Bridge That You Won’t Burn”, Travis is releasing the “I Am Australian” duet with Beccy as their brand new single.

A particularly nice touch is the inclusion of “I Am Australian’s” co-writer, Dobe Newton, playing penny whistle on the song.

“It was a real thrill to have Dobe there in the studio, playing on the song. The whole experience of recording this song has been a really special one,” Travis said.

Travis and Beccy’s version of “I Am Australian” was produced by Herm Kovac at his Ramrod Studio in Sydney.

The single’s release will mark another step forward for Travis, who five years ago set himself a goal: to take out a Golden Guitar in Tamworth in 2005. With this sensational duet, he may even find himself on stage picking up the Vocal Collaboration award.
