Sharnee Fenwick’s latest track SEE SAW RIDE has been soaring up the charts and currently sitting at number 18 on the Top 30 Country Tracks airplay chart.

Her continued rise has been helped by her recent appearances on the Telstra Road To Tamworth shows throughout NSW, alongside other up-and-coming artists including Amber Lawrence, Morgan Evans, Victoria Baillie & Nick Kingswell.

Sharnee’s debut EP produced by Glen Hannah, was well-received by radio, and the current single is again showing off her talents. She will however be looking forward to hitting the studio later this year in preparation for a new release in-conjunction with MusicNSW.

Hi Everyone
WOW!
What a Tamworth Festival!!!
I was lucky enough to have an extra long festival as I was a graduate from the 2007 Australian College of Country Music! This meant I was in Tamworth from the 5th January.

I had so much fun in the college and met so many great new friends. I wrote 5 new songs which I am so excited about and can't wait to play them! There is a cheeky one which was fun writing with my friend Kelly Hope!

Straight after the college I was straight into gigs and the serious stuff Toyota Star Maker and the Telstra Road To Tamworth. I was so excited about being in both competitions and wanted to give it my 100% best, I made it in to the Grand Final Of Both Competitions and was so excited by that and couldn't believe it. I enjoyed the experience of just being apart of both competitions and have learnt so much just by being apart of them!

This Tamworth was so special to me this year and I really enjoyed every part of it. I also released my second single Sea Saw Ride on NFS 111, so please request it! I am hoping that Sea Saw Ride does just as well as How 'Bout Never, if not better! hehehe

Well I guess I better go but before I do, I just want to let you know that I am nominated in the Victorian Music Awards in The Female Vocal Section and also New Talent I am so excited and can't believe I am nominated. I am off to Victoria on the 9th February for the awards so it should be a great night!

I hope you are all well and recovered ok from Tamworth!
Please come to my gigs if I am in your area and say HELLO!!

few weeks...  I now have my head back around things and can tell you all, as there has
been so much happening!

Well here goes,
On the 21st Spetember I had the Deadly Awards that were held at The Sydney

Guess What?   I WON!!!!
I was so nervous and so excited and scared and happy!
I couldn't believe it when my name was called out! I was absolutely blown
away! It was so exciting for me and I had all my friends and family there
to share the night with me!

After all the excitement I had an hour and a half sleep and was off to
Victoria for the Mildura Country Music Festival!
I had so much fun in Mildura and met so many beautiful people!

My First gig was the Girls Night out with so many talented girls;
Victoria Baillie, Clelia Adams, Kelly Cooper, Kelly LLewellyn, Nicki
Gillis, Carol Donovan and Hosted by Rebecca Lee Nye. That was a great
start to a fantastic festival!

I also had the pleasure of Judging the Talent Quest and the talent was so
amazing... I had the pleasure of Judging the Under 16 year old section and
the talent that is coming up is scary... They are so talented these kids!

Also I had the pleasure of working with Adam Kilpatrick, Casey Watt, Tom
Curtain, Jeanette Wormald and so many great Independant Artists, that we
have in Australian Country Music!

I was so lucky and had the pleasure of Performing at the 10th Australian
Independent Country Music Awards.

I was so excited to play in front of so many talented artists, and it was
a little scary too.... hehehe but I had an absolute blast!

It was so sad to say goodbye to all of my new friends but also, great to
know we will all catch up again!!!

I have also been accepted into the Country Music College which is held in
Tamworth in January, so I am very excited about meeting more new friends
and working with old friends too...!

Hi Guys and Girls
I hope you are all doing very well!!!
I have recently just realised it is the end of March, which means it
almost April then almost the end of the year, hehehe, its true what they
say!
"Time flies when you're having fun" and it certainly does.
I thought I would just update you on what I have been up to and what is
coming up!!!

Well, I was apart of the Central Coast Country Music Festival, which was
an absolute blast, (as it usually is) I was apart of the Youth Showcase
which was hosted by Bruce McCumstie, I have to tell you the talent we have
coming up is so scary, but let me tell you Australian Country Music is
getting handed into good hands of the up and coming talent!

I have been very busy organising gigs all over the place, so I have some
very exciting stuff coming up.
It would be really cool to catch up with all of you cool people at some of
my gigs. So hopefully I will see you there!

Hi
Everyone
Wow! What a festival was Tamworth 2006!!!
I hope you all have recovered well from the festival and caught up on lost
sleep!! HaHa....

Well, I thought I would just fill you in on what has been happening with
me and what is coming up!!!

Well, I arrived in Tamworth on the 15th January as I had 2 gigs just
before the festival at the Cricket Club, with Dean Johnston, which was
very cool!! I had a lot of fun doing those 2 gigs!!! The show was organised
by internet radio host Sue McClaren, so it was very cool to meet Sue!!!

I was very lucky to be apart of one of the songwriters shows at The Pub,
hosted by Laurie Minson, Which showcased many up and coming songwriters
that Australian country music has to offer!! I was very excited about
playing this gig, so I could meet other songwriters. I t was also very
cool to listen to their stories of why they wrote their songs.

I had a couple of gigs at The Pub Stage in Peel Street!
Those gigs were a lot of fun, with an excellent sound guy!!!
It was fun to be able to play outside and enjoy the atmosphere of Peel
Street and also the HEAT that makes Tamworth Festival, as I am sure you
will all agree!

Also, I had a few guest spot appearances with the Costa Brothers in
Tamworth Arcade. They were such lovely guys and was really fun being apart
of their shows. They are so talented and have the best harmonies, so it
was cool to watch them guys play!!

I judged a Karaoke Competition at the Court House Hotel and that was one
by an 11 Newcastle boy Daniel Sneddon, he was such a talented boy and his
dad Peter, also got a place in that competition, but I have to say I have
never seen such a hard competition, everyone was so talented, so
CONGRATULATIONS to all contestants.

I was apart of the Tamworth Camerata Showcase which was so much fun to be
able to play with all my friends from Camerata again, we often don't get
to catch up that much as we are all spread over Australia and New Zealand,
so it was great to catch up with everyone again!!!

My BIGGEST highlight of the Festival was the Tomkins Showcase, it was
hosted by Angry Anderson which was so exciting, he would have to be one of
the nicest guys I have ever met! Being a part of Tomkins Showcase I has the
opportunity to perform alongside Adam Harvey, Travis List, Redd Volkaert
and many other talented musicians!!!

I came home on the 29th January and had guest appearance at Joanne
Lambert's gig at Beresfield, it was a pleasure to play with Jo, as she is
such a talented girl!

So that was my festival for you!! I'm sure all of you had a busy festival
too, going to watch your favourite acts!!

Just a quick note before I go I have a radio interview with Kevin Parsons
on Sunday 19th February at 11am on 2CHR-FM 96.5FM. Please listen in!

I am also playing at the Central Coast Festival on the 11th March in the
Youth Showcase at Memorial Park Stage at 10.30am to 12noon Kirsty lee
Akers is also apart of the showcase so it should be a great show!

I am playing at Kurri Workers Club on the 12 March at 4pm with Joanne
Lambert!! Which will be a great show!!!
I have a website
www.sharneefenwick.com
so please go on and check it out and sign my guest book please!!
Hope to see you all soon

Coster, Natalie Howard, James Dean Hicks, Carol Donovan and many other great
Australian acts.. It was awesome show to be apart of and also another
highlight of the weekend was that I was able to see my grandparents who live
in Lightning Ridge and my nanny works on Opal FM, so that was cool.... Also
the band was pumping they totally rocked!!! And also girls they were good
looking.. it was a bit hard for me to keep my eyes off them.. hehe
Also my E.P. has taken a long time but on Thursday 15th April,2005, I did my
final vocal on the C.D. so it will be ready by June.. so I am loking forward
to that very much..
Also the 15th April was a BIG, HUGE, GIANT day for me I was informed that I

Hi Everyone...
Wow, what a Festival?
I can't believe just how fast the 10 days go...It's like you arrive and then
you leave..HEHEHE
Well I hope you all had a safe and enjoyable festival!
Coz I had a blast, once again!!!
It was really good this year.  When I arrived in Tamworth my first few days were
quiet as I had no gigs so I had time to have a look around, and check out the
AWESOME Australian talent.  Which just blew me away.  I saw an amazing young
fellow by the name of Brock Colley, who is a good friend of mine and I was
just amazed with how much he has grown as a country music artist on the
rise....Brock Colley is definitely a name you should all keep an ear out
for... Another Good OLD' buddy that I got to go and have a geezer at was the
AMAZING ALBY POOL.. He is definitely a man that I look up to and once again
he pulled the crowd as he usually does and blew them all away...
Well I guess I better start telling you about what I got upto when I was
supposed to be working but I do really only just call it FUN!!!
HEHEHEHE...Well  entered a competition at South Tamworth Bowling Club called
the Cavalier Talent Search and I was successful enough to make it to the
Grand Final.. I also entered the Aboriginal Showcase and I won Junior
Overall and I was very Honoured to win the Clyde Williams Memorial Junior
Overall too!!! I had an absolute blast at the Aboriginal Talent Quest once
again... I was also a part of Lyn McKenzies show "COUNTRY FAVOURITES" with
Sweeney and Killeen, Angela Hayden, Daniel Thompson and many other excellent
country favourites...
I was also apart of the Camerata Showcase at the Southgate Inn, which was a
blast. It was great to meet other graduates from the previous years and to
catch up with the graduates from 2004...
One of the big HIGHLIGHTS of my Festival was performing in the TOMKINS
GUITARS SHOWCASE. It was an Amazing experience to be playing up on that
stage with Australia's Biggest Country Music Acts... Such as Phill Emmanuel,
Stuie French, Steve Forde and The Flange and the Man behind the guitars
Allan Tomkins.
I had another Two Amazing Highlights during the festival and they were
performing in the Aboriginal Showcase and that was a very emotional
experience for me. Being a young Aboriginal young woman
it made me proud to just see the talent that the Aboriginal Community has to
offer. I was also honoured to have had been apart of the Showcase with Chad
Morgan, Aurial Andrews and Uncle Gus Williams... Also my other amazing
highlight were having the ABC programme MESSAGE STICK follow me around to my
gigs and interview me. So there will be a programme on ABC in about May, I
was so excited to do the show...So watch out coz it wont be long til' I am
in your Living Rooms...HEHEHEHEE....
I was also apart of the HORSEHOE BEND ROUND UP, which was excellent. We just
showed Tamworth the talent that we have in Newcastle and I am very sure to
say that we Blew them all away once again...
Well my Tamworth Festival came to an end for 2005 sadly, but I had a blast
and I am preparing for 2006 already... So let the countdown
begin...HEHEHEHEEE....
Also just a quick THANK YOU to everyone that showed up to the horseshoe
bend round up Tsunami appeal on Australia Day we raised over $700 dollars
all in a matter of hours so thank you all so much... Your giving is
appreciated so much.. May God Bless You All......
Well looking forward to seeing you all soon....
Come along to my gigs and say Hi!!!
Luv Ya All

Hi Boys and Girls
Geez, life has been very busy these last couple of weeks...
Firstly, I hope you are all doing well!!
Well I will start with telling you how the Tomkins Showcase's went at
Canterbury/Hurlstone RSL and Rooty Hill RSL. They were awesome...The audience
were great, the music was pumping and the band were just WOW an amazing
talented bunch of guys who I had a lot of fun working with.  I got to work
with Tommy Grasso, Bob Howe, Terry Philpott and the amazing genius Alan
Tomkins.   I was so excited to be apart of the showcase and was very excited
to see that STEVE FORDE AND THE FLANGE were in the showcase to. It was very
surreal for me to see them play as I have never seen or met the guys before,
but they are an awesome bunch...hehehe
I know I said that I was hoping for my E.P. to be finished by August but
Glen and I have taken our time to make sure that it is exactly what we both
want..  So I am pretty sure we should have it finished for January Festival
2005.  So I can't wait!!!
Also, I recorded my track on the compilation C.D. that I will be taking on
tour in early 2005.  The C.D. was recorded at SCOPE STUDIOS at The Entrance.
Everyone that recorded on the C.D. are just so talented and its great to see
the talent that is in Newcastle...
Just before I was apart of the Ladies Of Country with Donella Plane A.K.A
Dolly Parton and Lyn McKenzie A.K.A Patsy Cline.  The show was at Toukley RSL
and it was awesome I had so much fun and hopefully I will be back there
real soon...
Well I hope you all have a copy of Alby Pool's new album "BACK IN THE
SWING", it is an awesome album so I hope to see you all soon at the
Horseshoe Bend Round Up or even Tamworth in January.
Hope to catch up with you all real soon...

Hi Guys and Girls
Just thought I would fill you all in on the Camerata ride!!!
Well, where can I start I had an absolute blast.  I met so many wonderful
people who love to do what I do and that is to perform and make people
happy!!!
Camerata was so much fun, I learn't so much stuff.
I learn't some songwriting techniques which were really helpful because
songwriting is something that I really want to start to get into!!!
We had radio interviews at RADIO 2YOU-FM, which was alot of fun!!!!
We had STAR SPOTS with Felicity Urquhart, Beccy Cole and the 2004 STAR MAKER
WINNER Travis Collins... Those star spots were very inspiring and helpful...
We all went for a mini makeover at Plush Hair Designs and all the girls got
to have a bit of a giggle at the boys because they were wearing make-up
too!!!! HAHAHAHA...
After our makeover we all headed off for our photo shoot and I felt like i
was a superstar HAHAHA!!!!!
I even started writing a song with Tamara Stewart which was really exciting
and I also thought it was an honour to write with such a talented person...
We also got to work with the world's best band, who were; Trev Warner, Glen
Hannah, Doug Gallagher, Ian Lees and Michel Rose.
I want to thank everyone that made Camerata possible for me, my sponsor Ray
Tait, Bev & Bruce McCumstie, Alby Pool and Julie Bain Thank you...
I also want to thank Joan Douglas, Cheryl Byrnes and Greg Williams who make
Camerata go on every year you guys really help young people achieve their
dreams. God Bless!!!
Last but not least my mummy for taking me to Tamworth and going on this
awesome ride... I LOVE YOU!!!

So that was the best experience I hope you enjoyed reading about it...

Hi Guys and Girls
I hope you are all doing well!
Well, I have had a busy start to June.
So I will fill you in on it briefly:
It was my 17th Birthday on the 2nd June, and I got a  beautiful new shiny
mandolin.  That night I went to the Horseshoe Bend Round Up and there was a
nice little party there for me it was really sweet and special.
I have also been busy with one talent quest in particular which was the 24th
Hunter Valley Country Music Talent Quest. Which was held June long weekend.
So here I go

I entered the 24th Hunter Valley Country Music Talent Quest on the 12th and
13th June,2004 held at Hexham Bowling club. The talent this year was just
amazing everyone was all winners in my eyes, but I have some exciting news
to let you all know about.
The 6 sections I entered were:
*Junior Vocal - 3rd place
*Junior Gospel - 2nd place
*Gospel Duo(with Sammi Leonard) - 2nd place
*Duo or Group(with Julieanne Hancock our name was "Toucan Tango") - 2nd place
*Junior Country Rock - 1st place YEEHAA...
*Australian/Songwriters - 1st place YEEHAA...

I was pleased with my awards and trophies, but was gobsmacked at being
awarded the JUNIOR OVERALL CHAMPION for 2004.  The night thus far was
brilliant but I was completely taken by surprise when the compere announced
the OVERALL HUNTER VALLEY CHAMPION for 2004 was me... Sharnee Fenwick...
What a perfect night. I was (and still am) completely blown away at being
awarded both Junior Overall and  Overall Champion that I hardly slept a wink
last night ( I think I managed about three hours).

As the Overall Champion I get to compete in the NSW/ACT Championships in
Canberra in October this year.  I can hardly wait, I had a blast last year
when I competed in the NSW/ACT Championships after snagging Junior Overall
at the Hunter Valley Country Music Awards in June (2003)... I can't wait!!!

I was asked to do a honoury performance after the awards announcements when
Julie Bain (Hexham Bowling Club Entertainment Manager) all but dragged me
off the stage (literally) because I had to do a live interview at
Newcastle's Radio 2HD with Carter Edwards.  16 year old Amos Morris from
Kempsey (Amos won the Jim Humberstone Memorial Songwriting Award - A
brilliant tribute to Slim Dusty) and I fronted up to Carter Edwards. It was
a lot of fun and in all my excitement I managed to break one of Carters'
microphones, although Carter was cool about it.  Amos and I sang our own
compositions and this radio interview gave us a great opportunity for the
Hunter Valley folk to enjoy our own stuff. We had a lot of fun.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that was involved in
organising the Hunter Valley Country Music Talent Quest. Thank You and
especially thank you to all the contestants. Also, I want to say a BIG Thank
You to Julieanne Hancock and Samantha Leonard for singing in the duo
sections with me. Thanks Girls. Thanks Joel Black for playing for me. Thank
you also to my Mum and my Dad you guys are so cool and always there for me.

Just to let those that don't already know that I perform at Hexham Bowling
Club with Horseshoe Bend Round Up each and every Wednesday night. The
evening starts at 7pm it is a great night and the atmosphere is friendly,
I've made many wonderful friends who come to enjoy and support Country
Music.  Kids can come with their Mums and Dads too, which is cool because it
makes it a great family atmosphere.... there are 4 fantastic hosts Bruce Mc Cumstie,
Alby Pool, Donella Plane and Rob Wilson.  Best of all you can see
and enjoy brilliant country music for FREE.
I hope to see you all there soon.
 Love
     Sharnee

Sharnee has been singing and performing on various stages since the age of
eight.  In 2001 she discovered a passion for country music that has allowed
her true voice to shine through; a sort of down-from the mountain
timbre, good range with lovely deep registers.   Sharnee has a vibrant
personality, quick wit and is very much a "people person".

More recently, Sharnee achieved 3rd place at the N.S.W/A.C.T Champions
Showcase in Canberra in October 2003, she was awarded Junior Overall at the
Hunter Valley Country Music Talent Quest, in June 2003.  At the National
Indigenious Talent Quest at Tamworth in January this year (2004) she was
awarded Junior Overall and prior to that she nailed the same award at
Gloucester Country Music Talent Quest in October the year before.  Sharnee
achieved Semi-Finalist status at The Johnny Young Talent Quest in January
this year (at Tamworth) and in May (04) she made it to the Regional Finals
in the Mats Mo Awards in the Central Coast, just to mention a few.

Sharnee can be seen at the Horseshoe Bend Roundup each Wednesday evening at
the Hexham Bowling Club where she performs with many local artists such as
Alby Pool, Bruce McCumstie, Donella Plane and Rob Wilson.

Sharnee is a regular performer in Hey Hey It's Country Shows with 2NUR's
Bruce Howat at various venues in the Hunter Valley.

A couple of exciting highlights for Sharnee this year is her acceptance into
the Tamworth Camerata Music College commencing in July.   She is extremely
excited at the commencement of her E.P. that is being recorded and produced
by Glen Hannah.  She is hopeful that the C.D. will be finalised by early
August.
